Long and short of it is that intel paid OEMs to not use AMD processors. That's how intel won.

You just bought a new USB flash drive you want to keep on you keychain and you want to make it as useful as possible.
What distro do you put on it and what software tools to help diagnose and fix other computers?
Also if it's a bigger drive what do you do, just use a single NTFS partition or jump trough hoops to make multiple partitions, and still keep the NTFS primary so Windows can work with it?
Install a grub, make it multi-bootable. Install ultimate bootcd, eset sys rescue cd, and maybe a Linux distro. Also load it up full of things like rkill, MBAM, adwcleaner, TDSSKiller, HitmanPro, and ComboFix

I'm curious about this too, so far the only linux distro I used enough is openSUSE so I guess I'll put that on the USB flash drive, for fixing simple issue that don't require pre-boot operations.
About the tools for advanced troubleshooting I'd choose:
- file recovery software
- partition table restorer
- partition manager
- boot loader restorer (for both linux/windows)
Super GRUB and Rescatux can do almost all of this, I'd put both of these on small partitions in the USB flash drive if I could, they don't take up much space anyway.
For file recovery, is better if you try out more than one tool because some are better but don't have all the same features that the others have:

Good fucking damnit. Why isn't there a good browser that is fast and doesn't break? Firefox is slow in general, but sometimes I have some annyong huge lags while scrolling a loaded page. Or html5 video streams break. Chromium can't even play said streams, has horrendous font rendereing and even on the open source version tries to force Google garbage onto me. 5 years ago I could use firefox lagfree.
Same shit with sites themselves. Why can't webdesvs just stop their shitty 'modern' javascript shenanigans and make sites useable again? I don't want to wait 5 seconds to be able to use a site when it's essentially just a short article.

Don't you know? Now that e10s is out, Firefox doesn't lag anymore. Well, almost. A lot less than used to. So use a version with e10s, although it breaks certain user styles (like custom scrollbars).

Lets say i used downthemall addon for firefox on a "buy pro version or try a free version" website page selling a $10 software. The addon detected the pro version in things it can download off that page.
Lets say i downloaded it.
Do these websites with such poor security go through the trouble of detecting that i did so and backtrace my IP from china to backwaters of yurop and call cyber police on me to bust the door down a year later, or is that unlikely?
If they can or could take action, would it involve going through legal means of contacting the local authorities, making a case, so that the ISP would reveal my exact address?
