Imagine a Gamecube portatil, is it relevant to do it? There are emulators I know, but these do not need to play the role of Hardware, and if it is relevant, does anybody know how to do it?

The difference is that dolphin isn't just your average emulator, it's much, much better than everything else. Why would I want a handheld gamecube that's "true" to how the game is when dolphin even on 2x internal res looks lordly? I have an i7 laptop and desktop and can do it on 4x at 1080p on battery and 5760x1080 respectively, it takes shit from 2003 and makes it look like it was from 2008.
Alternative is the battery pack and screen some third parties made for it. Good luck finding a battery that still works. Pic related, both, so you can...

Portal consoles require a LOT of hand work. There are some forums dedicated to console hardware mods. Check this thread, you can see what has to be done

So now that Windows 10 can run nearly every Linux app flawlessly (even graphical ones), what's the point of switching?
There isn't.
The same as before, the kernel.

First for on HDB and you're not

>>53989395
No, you're not.
What computers were there when you went to school /g/ ?
What ways did you fuck around with them ?
we had pic related for the main computer room (only 21), then for the cad room we had dell precision 490's (i think)
they weren't locked so I swapped the ram from my own shitty optiplex and nobody noticed.
The "IT" staff didn't really know anything.
As for games nobody really played anything other than flash games or runescape
>>53988243
We had Pentium D Dell Optiplex shitfucks. The board decided to upgrade the already slow shits to Windows 7.
>>53988312
They were still on c2d's and pentium D's when I was in college, even the games design course was on c2ds with old quadros crammed into them
Just googled the models that looked familiar, I think they were these Dell Optiplex GX270 things.
They sucked ass hard and by some miracle they had managed to infest every school and computer room.
Can't remember what hardware they had in them, probably the cheapest possible parts.
I don't even remember anyone fucking with them, they just kept on failing on their own and caused tons of problems.
actual os comparison

os x and linux (gnu) are pretty much the same inside, the only difference is that only osx has a good DE

Okay /g/, let's build a perfect smartphone.
I'll start:
>5" AMOLED 4K display
>Gorilla Glass 4
>Snapdragon 820
>6GB RAM
>128GB internal memory
>dual SIM slots
>SD card slot with support up to 256GB

why though?
u cant tell difference between 1080p and 2k with 5" screen... 4k is total overkill and looks totally same than 1080p

Mouse thread
What mice do you have?
What mice do you want?
I'm looking at buying a mouse for my Dell XPS 15, since the trackpad still unfortunately sucks.
I have a Razer gaming mouse for my desktop, and a magic mouse for my MacBook Pro, but want something cheap, yet elegant and nice for my XPS. Suggestions?
>>53981459
>I have a Razer gaming mouse for my desktop
i am all into razer, but shit's kinda expensive. am using a ms sidewinder mouse at work, works great and is better for the bank
I was using a Logitech G400 ( the popular one). However i started developing wrist fatigue, as I have manlet hands and the G400 is huge.
So I ended up seeing this mouse on sale, decided to pick it up for temporary reasons, turned out to be quite good so I'm still using it for designing and gaming.
Red Dragon M601.
Has your usual gaming mouse bullshit like DPI Change, LED lights, thumb buttons.
The best part is it has adjustable weights.
Bad part is that the LED never turns off, unless you unplug the mouse.
Got it for 10$.
Which one would be worst for technological development?
Which one would be best for technological progress?
Why?
Just look at hong kong and then look at Venezuela and you will find your answer
>>53988542
worst, cruz, shillary and communist.
best, Trump.
Worst: Cruz and Clinton. Cruz is just Bush III and Clinton is just a fucking retard when it comes to tech. Clinton also voted for the Patriot Act and its reauthorization.
Best: Sanders voted against the Patriot Act and wire tapping without warrants. He also continues to vote against Patriot Act reauthorizations.
Trump: Who the fuck knows what he's thinking.
Let us know sweet /o/

So now that the image glitching trend has settled ... has anyone tried glitching audio (with results that aren't just noise)?
how to glitch images?
>>53985595
Circuitbending, google it motherfucker.
>>53985624
Convert to SSTV audio signal > add noise and shit in audacity > convert back
Read up about JPEG and mess with the quantization tables or the bytes of the frame
Write a program that takes the raw RGB values and messes with them
