Mostly, yeah, I still keep a external one just for the ocassional time I need it.

We have reached a technology ceiling.
Now we praise devices that performs less(phones tablets ect) because our lives are based on simplistic needs.
A gaming laptop with a dedicated GPU is no longer needed as well(I have one and don't need it anymore, thinking of getting a Surace pro).

Welcome to /fg/lt/, or as I've recently taken to calling it, /fg+lt/. We are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:
0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux
Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.
Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.

Just made a new PC Build.
Ordered Win10 even though I'm a huge Win7 fan and love it. Hated 8 and will never use it. Held on to 7 for as long as possible but PC recently died. So along with all the parts obviously the OS is one thing to be ordered.
SHOULD I OR SHOULD I NOT ORDER WIN 10?

I know many privacy settings can be turned off. It also has many security patches that can help that 7 can't get.

Hello /g/, I'm new to Express and socket.io so I made this little web app to practice. It's a rapid question and answer type app where you can post any question and comment upvotable answers to the questions. But after 20 seconds the question and all the answers are deleted and the next question comes up.

Please note after 18 hours it has to go to sleep because I'm using the free Heroku plan and I'm poor as shit
