I would make it proprietary

top kek shrek
I would make it profitable.
My current motherboard is maxed out on ram, supports max of 4GB. so I thinking about upgrading the motherboard /ram but keep my Phenom II x4 955 cpu and reuse everything else. I found a nice Am3/Am3+ mobo with 32gb max ram support so I could go with 8GB x 4 DDR3-1333. Board supports my current cpu so I think it'll work great.
cool story bro
Nice blog.
I am a long time AVG free user and lately its been driving me insane! I have turned off all system tray notifications, and they still pop up. I have tried the work around where you delete a couple folders (cant remember which) from its directory and it is still bugging me all the damn time....What are my options? I would like to continue to use AVG because it works nicely, and I also prefer free.

You used an AV that literally sold you, you should have read their updated TOS you fucking retard. Also stop using an AV, just get uBlock Origin and that's all you need, maybe get MBAM to scan sketchy files.
>>54743805
Why would you even install AVG free when Windows defender exists? Its not great, but neither is AVG.

also, is the fingerprint sensor really encrypted so deep that even Xiaomi itself couldn't find out who is behind the phone watching the midget porn or is it a meme?
What's a good fluid/air dynamics simulator that actually allows a fair amount of user control over what is being simulated?
All I'm able to find are tools that are very efficient but can only do stuff like show the airflow around a wing specified with a few parameters, as opposed to something like a 3D model with moving parts that moves around with the push of the air.
Doesn't need to be in real time of course, since that's rather unrealistic.

Does it just model how the object affects the air, or can it model how the air affects the object too?
>>54743804
That can't work with more complicated air phenomena. Like, you couldn't make an ectoplane in it for example.
My old Radeon 5850 fan was making a knocking sound so I took it apart to clean it.
Cleaned up, fresh thermal paste, etc.
Hooked it back up, turned on the computer, quietest the GPU has ever been...then I realized then fan wasn't even running when my heat monitor came up and it was already at 170f.
Any idea why the fan would just stop working after being taken apart? Any possible weird connections I could be missing? I don't have any idea what could have caused this. The only relevant connectors I can find are the little 3 pin thing connecting the...

oh you're one of those guys

Sounds like the fan bearings were already on the brink of giving up, and your cleaning attempts pushed them over the edge and they seized.

Fuck. So I won't be getting my bachelors in software engineering until late 2017 / early 2018. Everything seems so volatile right now...what does /g/ think the field will look like in two years? Yes, it's another one of those "tech bubble" threads. Will salaries go down any time soon? Will competition go up? Any big changes coming along soon?
I'm not going to be looking in any big cities if that matters.
>>54743398
In America there will be a STEM bubble.
Due to pajeet.
In Europe and Asia there is always work especially for software engineers.
>>54743398
what about 3 years? I started uni this year for computer science, and have major autism. What will the industry be like in the next couple of decades?
ITT fags ask /g/ to predict the future.

how expensive are PC parts in your country, /g/?
Because OP is a faggot:
102500 Japanese Yen = 930.13 US Dollar
ask anyone over in japan what a person who primarily uses the computer does and he'll tell you that you play hentai games and visual novels, and if you're japanese that's probably correct
they're stuck on microsoft XP because they're retarded, their "salaryman" office workers are excel/powerpoint drones doing the job a computer can do, all their webpages look like 2002 geocities personal sites, they all use gaudy out of date flip phones (apparently apple is making a push over there though) and all their software is shitty, etc.etc.
let's...

All you nasty fuckers are fighting the wrong fight. You should be fighting against Intel processors filled with spyware. Both Linux and Windows are fucked long term. Microsoft fucked up by killing Windows RT and Linux fucked up by allowing Android Java VM bloatshit to dictate its future.
