By comparing the dynamic range? The one with less dynamic range has been compressed

I'm building a blog site in order to learn express.js and jade, but I need some blog appropriate JSON data, the type that I could format easily into a list of clickable "posts".

Does anyone know of any online APIs that would suit my needs for this?

Fuck me... Why is Angular 2 so complicated in comparison with Angular 1? I learned basics of Ang1 a few days ago but I can't comprehend this one. You have to import SHITLOAD of modules, everything is so spaghetti. I actually liked the first one when I began to understand it. What the fuck is this???

Is it bad if I only know Angular 1? Why is it "shit" like people say?

It sucks that companies need you to learn new frameworks constantly. I hate all of this spaghetti shit. I fucking hate web industry and I haven't even seen a day of work.

I'll start first. I previously used PIA and then switched to Nordvpn to increase privacy and security. Based in Panama, zero logs, SSL 2048 bit encryption, AES-256-CBC double encrypted.

That's pretty sweet. I just use VPNBook or FreeVPN but you know, they're free services so whatever.

PIA. I don't believe anyone who says "no logs". Go make a death threat against some important head of state and see how anonymous you aren't.

Asking "Hey guys, what's your opinion on x?" is frowned upon.
Wireless is frowned upon.
Headset requests are frowned upon.
Isolation ≠ Noise cancellation
If you dislike a headphone suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, brand x sucks"

They actually aren't bad on the carts. I can feel them vibrate if I put my hand on them, but it isn't causing any noise or anything that is bothering me. The one cart is farther to the right than the left is though so I can tell its uneven, need to re-arrange it.

Thing with subs is I get headaches easily so I tend to keep them very low anyways. I have one in my media room surround setup, but I mostly just wanted better speakers than shitty logitechs since my desktop is in another room now. The sub would probably help, but not sure I will use it enough to justify another $200 on a sub.

Should try my headphones with the DAC now too.

Was looking at ATH AD900x, but I don't know if the bass response would be enough for rap or even the bass instruments in wind ensembles. HD598 was kinda alright, but looking for better alternatives. Considering AKG Q701 too, but the reviews sound like it's the more expensive version of AD900x.

Happy Saturday, /g/

It's time for Home Server General! Are you fighting the cloud menace with your own hardware? Writing your own software and testing it in experimental environments? Are you running 87 virtual machines just because you can?

I'm in the middle of adding a new whitebox host to the environment. Once this is done, I'm going to be running tests on six 2TB drives before I consolidate them with the LSI card into a RAID10 array. Started when I woke up, been drinking beers, building, and testing all day.

Also, how fucking goat is IPMI? This is my first Supermicro board and I'm impressed as hell. I've previously just used old desktop parts for my servers

Most I got is a server running owncloud and mail on an old dell t300 poweredge.

Got a hpc cluster in the works, what kind of stack should I setup and what could I run on it for shits and giggles before I have written my own shit for it?

>>54550217

Depending on how powerful it is, dedicate 100% of it to some folding/BOINC program, screenshot it and use it for shitposting for a few years until desktop PCs catch up

Hey /g/ents. I have an old Dell Latitude D820 and I'm looking to make it run as fast as possible so I can use the internet, do some word processing, and maybe play some Roller Coaster Tycoon without being annoyed. Can I still run WinXP and achieve this goal or do I need to install xubuntu or another light operating system? Is there a better old compatible processor I can add?

>>
>>54571406
Just install something like Damn Small Linux and get it over with, it will make it much faster
>>
>>54571406
Install a Linux such as Void or Ubuntu MATE.

Alternatively, run Windows 7 on it. 7 is pretty usable on D820 laptops with 2-4GB RAM.

Hey /g/, how do you prepare for a software engineer interview? I have one coming up and I expect they will be asking some algorithm and data structure questions. Is there anything you use to practice these sort of problems?

smoothness and fastness can depend on your hardware. As well as your connection.
