What kind of battery life do you get out of that?
I got a PowerBook G4.
I don't know for what purpose I should use it though...

Looks good bro
I am in the market for a new case, Phanteks EVOLV ATX is my ideal case EXCEPT for the fact it has no spot for an optical drive. Sure I could get an external one, but it takes away from the aesthetics of the case and why bother spending $200~ on a case then
Any recomendations on a mid case, good airflow/cable management, open side panel, not too flashy.

whats wrong with it
Past two weeks M$ reduced price on Surface Pro 4 and Surface book. Does it means they clearing stocks before announcing new Surface?
I am about to buy SP4 and will feel bad if next month they will announce new one, but how they can do it if kaby lake near half year away.
>>54562961
M$ is not a hardware company. Surface sucks, buy Lenovo if you really want 2 in 1
>>54562961
No there will be a surface pro 4 refresh though with new skylake cpus with better igpu.
>>54562961
Surface 4 (non pro) is coming at the end of this month or next month.

>LeNOvo 2 in 1
That shitty surface knockoff did everything wrong. The keyboard sucks, the fucking kickstand is retarded.
anybody try running Doom on a GTX680 in 1080p? what's the framerate like?
does Nvidia's winblows Doom-ready driver support Vulkan?

>>54562903
>Doom-ready driver support Vulkan
no, it doesnt support SLI either
Other than that, the game runs great. Both those things should be coming in a couple weeks or so.
>>54562928
Thats horseshit
Why didnt they have vulkan ready on release?

It wasn't called /dpt/ in 2013, it was called TDPT.

No. This happens to most smaller boards. They start off with small fun community, and eventually all the normies bleed out from /v/, /b/, and /a/, and shit up those once fun boards.
This happened to /sp/, when all the normies visisted for the worldc up, and stayed. Now its just a very shitty board.

What's the best bang-for-your-buck ebook reader?
I've been looking at the Kobo aura 2013 and it looks really nice. Flush touch screen, backlight, SD card slot, and around $50 used.
Was also thinking a 2nd gen Kindle Paperwhite but that's a little more expensive, plus I'd have to go through the trouble of Jailbreaking it.

Why didn't you get the nook simple touch?
I know for a fact that 2-3 years ago /g/ recommended it because of it's price.
I attended a top 10 school where our homework programs were multiple google-esque problems each week starting from cs 101 up to more senior level courses. People from my school hire well into facebook/google/amazon etc. they are the best and brighest in the US.
Unfortunately I come from a poor country ass family and my blue collar background can't afford to attend this school. I'm going to a different school next semester with regular classes/homework assignments which leads me to my question.
How do I prepare for google style interviews? what online...

Which jobs in IT are not meme/pajeet/dying-tier? I'm considering setting my career onto database development/administration but machine learning / teaching also look promising and are interesting. I wonder if any of these is a bad idea
>>54562213
DBAs are quite highly paid, but it's mostly menial work.
Machine learning and teaching means academia, which is meme-tier. You'll just spend your time crunching out papers about how you used deep learning to make your AI written in Java being able to tell the difference between a black and white zebra and a white and black zebra.
If you're going to do a PhD, at least do something interesting. The biggest buzzword memes right now are deep learning and virtual reality (along with 3D vision I guess).
>>54562259
That was helpful, thanks. I would got for a PhD but that's the problem: I don't find anything particularly awesome to work on, at least for now.
>>54562259
And neural networks, I almost forgot.
>>54562455
Spend your undergrad trying to find out what you like. There is no reason in specialising while doing your bachelors' degree; that's why PhDs and masters' degrees exists.
Had a Moto 360 1st Generation since launch. Shit has been rock solid especially with upgrades. Unfortunately now it hit the shitter and will charge and boot but will not connect to my phone and after awhile will just completely turn off and if you turn it back on, it turns back off again.
So Motorola offers a repair service, but basically by repair they mean give them $100 + tax to give you a new one.
So I'm kind of wondering what to do. I loved the Moto 360 but the 2nd generation one is a laughable upgrade, especially at $300.
Are there any other good...

The Huawei Watch was $250 pretty much everywhere recently, its a great upgrade from my first gen Moto 360.
For $150 the Asus Zenwatch 2 looks good, but I personally don't like square watches.
>Memewatches
n33t here what is the purpose of these?
>>54562193
Moto customer service SUCKS, they botched a software update a few months ago that made it perma force-close.
Took me like 8 calls just to reach a non-pajeet, and get them ship me a replacement. Ended up sending the wrong version after all that.
I sold it and bought a Huawei watch for 259, best decision ever.
Okay, I know this may seem like a stupid question to a lot of you but I can't find a straight answer anywhere online.
I pirated a copy of Windows 7 and my neighbor used a cracked to make it a genuine copy so my question is, if I updated my computer to Windows 10 would I be prompted to pay for a copy like most others who have pirated a copy of Windows and tried to update it?
tl;dr: I have pirated copy of Windows that was made genuine, can I get Windows 10 and it still be genuine?
>>54562136
There's only one way to find out. Do it.
>>54562154
But if I just do wouldn't I be screwed and unable to revert back?
