WTF are all these games crashing randomly?
Built new pc
i5 6600k intel @ 4.2ghz overclock (never been above 80c ever, not cpu problem)
16gb ripjaws 4 g.skill ram
asus oc strix nvidia gtx 960 4gb gfx (stock oc speed)
asus z170k motherboard
fractal 650watt modular
seagate 1tb
samsung 750 evo 120gb ssd
I did next to no driver installs when I powered the computer on, but nvidia geforce xp did the graphics, and i checked device manager for any yellow !'s
Pretty sure drivers are ok but might be wrong.
Anyone know why it's crashing games 1-5 hrs in? bluescreened twice in 1 week, they said "irql not equal or less to" which is a phrase i googled to many different irrelevant problems to mine.

It "refreshes" the screen by regulating. That is also destroying every other pixel in order to make it uniform. It does not bring it back to the same state.

Just get the cheapest one, it either serves you for 5+ years or not. Worst case scenario you'll just replace it with the same model, it would still be cheaper than getting those premium bronze gold+ boxes.

You won't have a problem with Corsair, EVGA or Silverstone. Avoid unbranded and non 80+ models.
Reliable: almost all PSUs based on Seasonic and Superflower leadex platforms (Seasonic, most XFX PSUs, certain Corsair PSUs, EVGA G2/P2/T2 series, etc.)
Most PSUs from well-known brands are reliable enough as long as you have enough wattage to power your components. Before buying a PSU, check the reviews on Jonnyguru and make sure the PSU you're buying has enough amps on the 12v rail for your graphics card(s).
Avoid chinese garbage and lesser-known brands such as Diablo, Atrix, Aspire, Sharkoon, Wintech and so on. Thermaltake and Zalman for example are somewhat well-known, but they mostly have terrible PSUs so avoid them as well.

Where were you when nVidia fanboys were so mad that the 480 was equalling the 980 and that two 480s were equalling the 1080 that they had to post continuous threads about how terrible AMD was as damage control?
I've been a nVidia guy my entire life, but I'm stoked to see more benchmarks and real-world tests of the 480. Might be jumping ship soon after it's released.
