So I bought a Nexus 5 recently and everything is a nightmare right now.
I installed CM12.1 on it, but it randomly started shutting off if I left it sitting around at 100% charge with the screen off.
So thinking it was maybe the version of Cyanogenmod being fucked I wiped the system partition and flashed CM11. Now I can't even decrypt the phone. I can boot into recovery mode just fine, it recognizes the password. But as soon as I try booting into CM it keeps saying "Try again" whenever I enter the password.
What the fuck is going on?
Flashed CM12.1 again, now I can unlock but have the random shutting off again.
Why the hell did you flash cm12.1 now that cm13 is out? 12.1 is not even supported any more.
Also, try chroma rom. CM roms aren't that amazing on nexus devices.

Have you tried using a factory image instead of CM ?
I've had so many problems with CM and other custom ROMs on my Nexus 4 that I've just given up on them. Rooted factory image on the other hand just werks.

Okay /g/, I made this picture last night comparing different codecs(FLAC, OPUS, MP3, and AAC).
For the first test, I encoded all the lossy coded in 320
I chose a song with with an original flac file with a sampling rate of 48000khz to test the encoding of these different formats.
As the picture shows, AAC is the superior format for high bitrate. Out of all the lossy encodes OPUS was the largest in filesize, but only by 10kb
but all three lossy encodes seem to not differ from flac

somehow my Opus encoder kept on using a sampling rate of 48000khz and there is no way for me to change this, but it shouldn't hurt anything.
You can clearly see that Opus is much better than AAC at lower bitrates. I didn't use MP3 in this test because its just pointless
What exactly is your point? what do you want to convey to us? what format do you want us to use? which format do you use? and what is it that itches you the most about other formats that finds them unacceptable?

Hardware in general works this way. Not always as extreme, but peaks in power draw always appear like this.
Your CPU that pulls 70w~ on average will spike above 120w periodically. The Fury X can draw 220w-250w on average, but it can spike above 400w for microseconds at a time.
Those momentary spikes don't harm anything.

Try spiking above 700w. 950w if even modestly OCd.
And yes, spikes that extreme do cause problems.

Hello /g/. I am a 19 year old university student. I am really into software engineering but i want to go full professional ( i also study software engineering ). What i know is just some C++ , some Java , some HTML/CSS/JS , some Ruby. I also know nothing about GUI or how to connect GUI to a program. ( i am still pretty much a n00by ).
Here is what i have:
Current IDE : Qt Creator
OS : Ubuntu 14.04.3 , Windows 7 Ultimate (dual boot).
Knowledge : Pretty basic concepts.
Here is what i want :

>Learn how to create and use GUI
>Complete web programming
>Get at least some good knowledge about security,servers,etc.
>Learn some basic Assembly ( which i have no idea about, mostly for some projects in university ).
Links, guides, pdf, anything that can help. I am at your mercy people. As long as it is free i can do it ( right now my economic situation is pretty bad ).
Now most of you would ask why don't i just wait untill finish university. As i mentioned above my economic situation is pretty bad and i can afford going to university untill most this year. Basically i have untill the 2nd of July 2016 to do all this.
