This has been such a headache.

I did a clean install of Win 10 on this new laptop I got, and quickly discovered that there were 6 partitions on it.

-The main partition
-A recovery partition
-3 empty partitions of unknown purpose
-The pictured EFI System Partition

Using DISKPART, I was able to delete 4 of the 5 unwanted partitions. However, this EFI System Partition is resisting my efforts to get rid of it.

Should I get rid of this EFI System Partition? I looked inside of it, and it seems to be a recovery image from the manufacturer. It has all of HP's bloatware on it, so as far as I can tell, I don't want it or need it.

If this interpretation is accurate, how can I get rid of it? The "delete partition override" command doesn't work.

Second, how can I get my C: drive to absorb all of that unallocated space?

Thanks!

jesus christ kid put down mmc before you hurt somebody

Note: When I try to delete the EFI partition, I get the following message - Virtual Disk Service error: Delete is not allowed on the current boot, system, pagefile, crashdump, or hibernation volume.
>>
>>51766374
Is that a no? What's mmc?

If I ought not get rid of it, how can I, at least, get that unallocated space to the left of it onto my C: drive?

If you want dim, why are you getting blue LEDs?

Try a green LED Sony Dream Machine like the ICF-C414 I have. That gets extremely dim.

Many games are optimised more strongly for Nvidia than AMD so even though theoretically the 390 is on par realistically it won't be. That said, the general rule between the two cards is to go for the 970 if on 1080p or below, and go for the 390 if above 1080p resolution.

Old thread was slow as fuck.

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.

There are three ways to try Linux, you can:

1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)

If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's
likely you will start retreating back to windows instead of getting used to GNU/Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.

>Recommended for beginners:
-Ubuntu MATE
-Debian (For Broadcom devices, use an ISO that includes non-free firmware)
-openSUSE
-LinuxMint (a.k.a Ubuntu LTS + Cinnamon)

This time I'm really tired, so I'll answer that: If you are serious about switching to GNU plus Linux (or whatever) be sure that you have one or two free weeks to do that. This is not a matter if you boot onto Windows, you just have to understand the difference between them.

Is there a program I can use to crack the password on a rar file I made? I have a general idea of the passwords I'd use. Including numbers/letters. If that makes it any easier. My general password is a sequence of gibberish followed by numbers. But I can't figure out what it is now

first off, im new to all pc stuff
also, pic semi-related

so i bought a pc about a month and a half ago and it was able to run any game i threw at it at 60 fps+ on max settings. for some reason, about a week ago, my pc started to run games poorly, getting around 10-20 fps. now, a lot of my games are severely unplayable. to give a reference, about a week ago, i could play fallout 4 at 60 fps on ultra, now i get 20-25 on low. i have my gpu driver updated, so im not sure what could be causing the problems. wtf happened?

Why does he want a membrane? You can get mechanicals for that budget.

Ayy /g/, give me your shitty advice or face the consequences
I'm thinking of getting the XPS 13 with the i5, 8 gigs of RAM, the 128 SSD, and the 1080p non-touch screen.

Good idea? Bad? How's Linux support (I may install it later, not right away)? Should I buy from the Microsoft Store? How does their student discount thing work? Is an SP4 a better idea (I think not, I don't really need a tablet). Thanks.

First thing in the morning, what do I see? A pile of shit staring at me. I close my eyes, I step away. No matter where I go, there’s no getting away. Take your poo to the loo. Take your poo to the loo. Take your poo to the loo. Take your poo to the loo.

Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, everywhere. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, next to you. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, where is that loo?

I step out on the street. What do I smell? Shit that’s stinky to high hell. I hold my breath, I step away. But everywhere I go, there’s no getting away.

Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, everywhere. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, next to you. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, everywhere. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, where is that loo.

Shit, not shit, this shit, that shit. Let’s see now. Let me check. Happy birthday. Happy birthday.

Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, everywhere. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, next to you. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, everywhere. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, where is that loo.
