Post your Freenas drive performance and setup please, considering it from another solution was curious what my fellow /g/entlemen get with their setups.

What I am expecting with a good HBA with 4x3TB 7200 RPM drives, RaidZ2 somewhere hopefully in the ballpark of ..

500/600 MB read, 300-400 MB 64Kb sequential write.

Can any one one bench mark their setups for me? :] please and thank you.

How do you expect to get that out of 4 3TB drives in any configuration? Am I just dumb?
>>
>>55198093
3TB drives should be able to sustain 150MB/s or better sequentially.

Should say with compression enabled* I am fairly new to a lot of the concepts of Freenas, but not completely unknown to it. My current Hardware Raid controller gets around 700 MB Read, and 500 MB write via Raid6 and a 1GB cache.

Not sure how cache works on FreeNas. Server in question will have 16 GB of memory, and dual quad cores....

Looking at this because microsoft's storage spaces was a giant disappointment.

Got ahold of a Acer Netbook(AOD270), what the fuck should I install on it?

AMD doesn't even have Main10 HEVC decode. Always lagging behind.

Unless you're doing FEA shit or exploding huge models, get fewer cores higher speeds.

If doing FEA or massive (10000+ part) explosions, get a really monster multi CPU setup.

>No network access, device manager only displays "unknown devices"
>Check PCI IDs in devman, Google them on main Linux computer, find it on Linux-related website for PCI IDs
>Download driver and transfer it on USB stick
>WiFi is now working, let's get video drivers running for the laptop's AMD APU
>Use stock IE8 to get to AMDs website
>Literally nothing works, page scrolling is disabled for whatever reason, Web 3.0 standards dictate nav-menus must use so large text that they don't fit in the VGA driver's 800x600 resolution, arrow keys can't scroll, space can't scroll

Hi, i it seems my new phone has a weird "burned" spot in it's screen. But what's weird is that it does not appear while displaying a black or white screen but only when an ap is loading or in a contextual menu.. Any idea why this is ? Should i worry ?

Hey anons, so I recently started a business and am looking to build a rig for CAD /3D designs and modeling.

Iv build a few gaming rigs in my day, but am wondering what I should be looking at differently.

Do gaming GPUs suffice?

Basically I see contradictory info from every direction and I don't have the capital to built this twice.

Any help is appreciated as my old gaming rig is basically blown and cant handle even a complicated sketchup file.

Gaming GPUs suffice, but make sure not to buy AMD because they dont have half the support in professional applications that Nvidia does
>>
>>55194036
Consumer GPUs lack mostly in error-correction and driver certification, I also believe that, in comparison to a workstation chip, they will selectively drop content when rendering to increase speed, where a workstation GPU would render the entire thing in its entirety. You can basically think of it like this:

Consumer/gaming GPUs emphasize on speed and nothing else
Workstation GPUs emphasize on correctness and stability
