Someone left an iPad mini at my work maybe like 6 months ago. Since no one claimed it even after we put signs up about it my manager decided to just give it to me but it is on activation lock so even after I try to restore it, it asks for the previous owners iCloud credentials.
So what I'm trying to get at is, is there any way to bypass this activation lock? Or is this thing useless now? I'm sure there has to be a way around it.

Go away Tyrone.
Bring it to an Apple Store, E-Lincoln.
>>51739052
Put it in a microwave rated over 750W and under 1000W, turn it on for 1 minute. It's a built in hard reset, we do it all the time to disable locks at the Apple workshop.

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are three ways to try Linux, you can:
1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)

Can I share /home partition between two Linux distros?
Post your phone's battery life along with ROM and custom kernel if you have one. I'm curious.
1 year old OnePlus One
Blisspop ROM
AK Kernel with Real_pac's All Day profile for Synapse.
>bump
also I get about 5-8 hours of screen on-time use depending on how heavy my usage.
2 y/o Nexus 5 (runs like a dream still)
Chroma ROM with moderate UI theming
usually 2 hours of SoT, sometimes 3 if I'm lucky
>>51739360
That's pretty bad honestly. Nexus 5's aren't exactly known for their battery life though.
I just tested IE in windows 10 and it's faster than Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
Am I the only one or did IE just become better than Chrome?
>Windows 10
You're beyond memes now, friend.
>>51738799
>I just tested IE in windows 10 and it's faster than Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
YES ITS A MEME
Ie on windows 10 it's faster than Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, and since those 4 are the ONLY web browesrs that exist, IE is the best OS ever and hating it is a meme.
Also remmber if you complain about botnet you are retarded, so having botnet is not a bad thing
It's never been faster for me when I tried using in on win7.
Chrome was the only one I could actually watch YouTube on. Firefox didn't work too well for me either.
I can try it on win10, since my Surface has it, but quite frankly Chroke is working perfectly fast on that as well and I prefer the Chrome interface.
The non-golden ear'ed and "audio scientists" need not apply.
I also hope everyone serious about their system has isolated their components using Stillpoints.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NdpLAeZvEs
Used them on my Mark Levinson and my MBL Corona transport, and WOW. Faster decay on the drums, less bloom in the mid-range, and more air in the soundstage.
Highly recommended.
what the fuck kind of audiophile are you when you didn't DIY speakers?
>>51738794
DIY is snake oil garbage.
Do you have an anechoic chamber to quality test your work after assembly? State-of-art measurement gear? Was your kit engineered via CAD, to ensure the drivers, crossover, and cabinet "match?"
This made a big difference in my system

Is the Portable Touch Pi project any good?

Don't do that. Buy a rPi but without an aidetic faggot case and please, without touchscreens.

REMEMBER:
For those of you contemplating future careers, school, etc. that Computer Science, Programming, and related fields are not the only choice.
Check out the Networking Systems programs at your local community college.
In 2 years (1 and a half if you go to summer semester) you can get what is essentially a trade, a valuable life skill, an Associates Degree and the ability to transfer to a 4 year college seamlessly in almost all cases (with direct-connect programs).
Yes I am being a bit of an un-paid shill I suppose but really, consider it....

i have CCNA done and shit and am in elec engineering at uni, the hell do i do after ccna? networking seems a lot more fun than el. engi, but wat do
>>51738354
Oh god, please spread this! The number of useless programmers out there who only ever went for CS because they "want to do something with computers" is maddening. As an actually good programmer, the seas of morons have turned getting a job from a phone call and an interview into a multi-month long shitfest.
If you like computers, go into IT. Don't waste your time and money failing at software engineering.
>>51738469
What sort of stuff do you want to do? CCNA type stuff, or do you have other interests?
For example I am interested in penetration testing but of course that is a niche that is hard to break into so my current path is:
CCNA and work as a network admin or something similar while I continue my independent studies and training, and then OSCP (in my opinion one of the only certification worth caring about if you aren't an HR representative. But, we all understand we have to 'play the game'...

Hey /g//uys
Is it worth to buy grounding/ antistatic wrist straps?
I will be building a new pc so...
Do i need one?
>>51738247
Yes, absolutely. You really don't want to try >$400 worth of components because you didn't want to spend an extra five.
>>51738247
I've built millions of computers, never used one, never fried shit.
>>51738317
Even if these were a meme this guys has a valid point. $5 is cheaper than any of your components.
What kind of videos can I upload to youtube, without having any problem with copyright
