I'm one of the Xubuntu exiles who left after Unity came out about 6 years ago, I'm calling everyone back to Unity now.
It's responsive and smooth as fuck, and I'm using a laptop from 2010 with a 512mb Nvidia and 8gb RAM.
The base memory usage at startup is 600mb~ (checked using screenfetch).
There's no reason to hamper yourself with decades-old crap like Xfce anymore, the fonts, the windowing, the speed, the transitions are all decent and you don't need even need a brand-new machine to run this.
Sorry if I'm shilling like fuck but I don't get the reason to keep outdated crap like Xubuntu around any more, not unless you still use a Pentium 3.
I tested Ubuntu 15.10 and it was using 600MB ram on boot, that's nothing special.
Ubuntu mate uses 300MB.

So I went take a look at this thing in the store and nearly jizzed myself, this thing is beautiful

It runs android. Amazing hardware, but the software is a clusterfuck (I'm talking about android itself, not touchwiz).

I'm not an apple guy, I've just used a lot of android phones and all of them seem to be abandoned soon. After that, third party ROMs are the only choice you have if you want to get the newest android version (for whatever reason)

What is the best option considering quality for hwdec=?
Alright maybe you fegs can shed some light on this. The only thing I want mpv to do is adjust volume using the scroll button. Running latest stable build on Windows 7.

The only improvement having hwdec=no over anything else is timing/sync which shouldn't be an issue anyway.
