Is amazon purposefully bullying customers who choose free shipping?
A few years ago, I could order something from amazon with free shipping and it would arrive in 2 days because I live 20 minutes from an amazon distribution hub.
The website claimed it might take 10 days, but it shipped out the same day I ordered it so I never waited that long.
Today, 10 days really does mean 10 days. They'll literally wait till day 9 to ship it.
And to make it worse, they'll make DHL/UPS/Fedex drop it off at your local post office which adds an inevitable 4 days to shipping time, and you might not even receive it because USPS is so shit.
Just buy prime if you give these jews their money you won't have any problems.

This, fuck floppies. Just get several USB sticks or SD cards and make more than one backup of any mission critical data. Encrypt the files if you're worried about unauthorized people accessing said files.

Arch's "hardcoreness" is quite overstated, but then again, you can get a "functional programming environment" out of any distro ever, so it all depends on if you have any other demands and how much you want to customize. No logical reason to fiddle with .confs for hours for a result that is already preinstalled in Ubuntu anyway.

I've been using Maxthon for a while now and I really like the UI and the features/tools, it's super convenient for my daily habits. It's an originally Chinese browser so I guess they're not willingly sending anything to Jewgle and M$. I've had to block "Beijing Blue Technologies" in the host file and firewall though. I also don't like that it's based on Chromium, so some data is bound to get through.
Firefox has degenerated quite a bit in the last few years, but I'm hoping that the new browser that's being developed by Mozilla's founder will be better.

Computers themselves and programming languages are just tools, shit you should be able to learn in high school. You should be able to do computer science with just a pencil and paper. There's so much in "theoretical" computer science out there and it's all so fascinating. Get the fuck out of my discipline and stop plebing it up with your "I wanna be a programmer" shit. Go to community college for that.
