Hello /g/, I don't post often but I wanted some advice regarding a purchase I hope to make soon.
I need a laptop for class, and have also been needing an upgrade on my desktop. Should I get a midrange laptop and upgrade the desktop separately, or get a high-end gayming laptop and kill two birds with one stone?
For reference, my current laptop is the lowest end Yoga 11e money can buy, and my current desktop is a prebuilt Dell with a clearance-aisle graphics card, i5-4460, and 16 gigs of DDR3 RAM.

Yes, they actually do, at least if they play CounterStrike or similar games. You need to run a really low DPI to be accurate enough at a competitive level. Most players seem to prefer large cloth pads and not plastic, though.

Every HDD gets some problems over time, unless the values get worse every day I wouldn't worry about them

I've got m hands on Compaq R1000h UPS.
I replaced old dead batteries and all seems to work fine, except it hisses.
I pinned the problem to the transformer.
Although it's barely audible, it's pretty anoying.
Do you guys had this problem with your UPSes?
I was considering dipping the transformer in polyexter resin under vacuum, but i'm afraid it's not the coils but magnetostriction, so it wouldn't help.

Before you say "wtf", I have been in the closet for 19 years, and do not plan on coming out. Yet, I want to get the new iPhone SE (perfect size!), and possibly a MacBook to replace my very aging Sony laptop, which had served me well.
If I go Apple, would that throw a shadow of suspicion upon me, making it even more difficult to hide my love for peenus?

Software is personal preference, I like the amount of customization you can have with miui like app preferences and the various settings. Most unwanted apps can be disabled/uninstalled and Nova + GAPPs work perfectly fine

Pic related, happened a few mins ago. Just plugged into the electrical outlet and the a few seconds later a loud 'pop'. Lodged the shell of the capacitor into the far corner and shit allover the place like a feather pillow.
