>The system that builds windows is a bunch of 30 year old perl scripts from the 1990s. No one knows what they do. They have tried to replace this build system 4 times. The most recent attempt happened while I was working there and was called "Apex". It worked great, solved all the problems, and was totally fantastic, except that it couldn't compile windows. No one could figure out how to get windows to compile on it. This is because no one knows how to compile windows. They eventually shelved Apex because no one could decipher what the flying fuck was going on with the perl scripts.
>They still use the perl scripts.

So a 1070 will be cheaper than a 970?

I installed Tinder because I was curious (and due to my lack on social skills). I must agree terms that scared me, they can do whatever they want with your data, worlwide, forever.
I know. Whatsapp does the same, Google indexes the info you put on it an you must have an account on google if you want to install apps on Android... but it doen't make it better.
this made me think about security. I have nothing to hide but I don't fail to that "if you're not a pedo there is no reason to not give your info" argument. I want to learn more about this but I don't know where to start.
I'm not trying to become a hacker overnight, I understand this is a difficult matter and I'll have to learn some things (I'm using linux but I don't know how to use terminal). I accept I have a lot to learn. but I don't know how, or where to start.

TL;DR: how to learn about security

you are using the same argument as above. I'm not proposing my shit to be relevant to anyone, but I don't want it to be stored by some company. I don't see it hard to understand.

How ARE you supposed to install Arch without a guide? I'm in the middle of it right now and I would be fucked without the wiki.

Learning Python, have the basic syntax down and understand a bit. Where do I go from here? Where does one move on to after finishing the absolute basics? Do I think of a beginner application and study my way through It?

The fuck child? How is this any different from needing to pull an SSD from any other fucking laptop? What the fuck does the badge have to do with the fact you're too basic to perform simple tasks like docking an SSD?

Do you really think I'm that fucking dumb? Sure, try and load this piece of shit into a docking station, or plugging in sata connectors to it.

Go ahead, try.

I am reading on Google now that I need to look for SMART Status. Apparently SMART data indicate mechanical faults on drives!
I can do it via command prompt using
wmic
diskdrive get status

However I was wondering, will that also check external drives or just internal drives?
If not I gotta get an app like DriveDx (reddit recommends that).
Not a fan of apps desu senpai.
