How soon will we get 2TB micro SD cards?
It's been 2 years and the best we have are 256GB micro SD cards. What's taking these fuckers so long?

Aren't you one of those guys who don't know a shit about technology and believes that its some sort of wizardry that converts time into more powerful/effective things disreegarding laws of physics?
So as long as it is turned off and unplugged, the computer will work fine as soon as it dries off right?
>>55501229
Yeah
Just make sure nothing it corroded, and if so you need to clean and replace the appropriate parts, you can put the board into an alcohol bath, or place it into a low temperature oven at like 200F until dry

it's not the water but the stuff in the water, and the effects of oxidation on the areas where the water permeates and doesn't readily evaporate.
the minerals and salts found in tap water will wreak havoc on your shit.
but, you could be fine if your shit got wet and it was dried quickly.
back in the day, when i worked at a rent to own store, i'd get a lot of free computers. they were always full of roaches and fuzz and shit, so i would spray the fuck out of the insides of the cases with contact cleaner. inside the psu, drench the mobo. the only thing i'd remove was the harddrive. worked really well, but I'm not sure if it's a recommended means of cleaning your computer. definitely will need remove and reapply your thermal grease after using a solvent like that.
When I turn on the power supply and boot the computer, all fans spin, including the GPU, but the CPU fan, and it will not boot.
What could be causing this? Motherboard? CPU? Power Supply? What should I do to troubleshoot?

What computing shakeups are we in for in our lifetime?
For example, saying goodbye to volatile storage (RAM, maybe not CPU caches) as our non volatile storage reaches RAM speeds.
Convergence. Soon people will be carrying around Ubuntu phones and plugging them into portable or stationary screens, dedicated PCs will be obsolete.
Communication standard that allows for high enough data transfer and video transfer rates on a single plug to extend the more and more powerful smartphones to fully fledged PC-like devices by plugging them into screen/keyboard docks. This standard will be different across manufacturers at first and will eventually settle there or four years later

I'm surprised we don't have this already. What's the closest we have? Plugging ultra portable laptops into monitors?

ducky one cherry reds and a logitech g502 spectrum. semi shown benq xl2411z.
love my ducky one white & grey. FAR better than my corsair strafe it replaced. its quality is amazing. extremely pleased with it. only thing i would like are some matching color pbt double or dye sub linux key caps to replace the ducky logo ones.
got my g502 to replace my steelseries rival 300 that i busted. at first was hesitant at the shape but its actually comfy and it tracks much more precisely than my rival 300 did. really impressed by it.
have owned my benq xl2411z for over a year now. got it to replace my old dell ips screen that burnt out after five years and really like my benq. 144hz and pwm free are super nice and well worth it. would of liked it to be ips but at the time all the ips ones where gsync / freesync and didn't want to pay the premium for it. i can say its tn panel is far better than any tn panel i've had in the past.
ok
I have a Logitech g303 mouse, Rosewill rk-9000v2 mechanical keyboard with cherry MX blue switches, and a Dell u2414h monitor along side an HP 23bw monitor.
I just bought this cherry keyboard with ML switches, did I make a mistake?
Spacesaver M and a Magic Trackpad. Both get a 10/10
So /g/, I've wanted to have an honest discussion about this for a while but whenever I google this topic all I can find is shill and paid marketer articles on Windows.
Why would Microsoft ruin windows? They've totally made the OS unusable ever since the initial release of 8. This is not an opinion thread, I think at this point we can all put our biases/opinions aside and recognize this for what it is.
What I want to know, is why? Why would they ruin the OS that everyone in the world uses?
Do you guys think they did this for the sake of mass data collection, or did some fool actually look at Windows from 8 onwards and think it was a good idea?

Whats the best programming language if I want to make alot of money? Is Java good for that?

What is a lot of money for you?
Indian java engineers usually get 250$/month.
Not that bad but it's probably not enough if you live in EU or USA.
>>55500713
Too late to earn money with programming.
It's like mathematics, completely useless for money making.
Even with high skills you probably can't earn more than a pizza maker.

Which NSA databases do you appear in and how much information do they have about you? Keep in mind that data collection for all of these is passive and doesn't require the NSA to target you for this data to be collected. Also, for US citizens the NSA doesn't consider it to be violating your 4th amendment rights as long as they don't look at the data collected on US citizens without a warrant, even thought there's nothing keeping them (or the FBI that they recently gave access to all of their databases) from doing so.

Hello /g/ I'm searching for an obscure blog I used to read that was posted to prog. I think the author's name was Xarn or something and he read like hundreds of books a year and wrote about fractals and tons of call shit.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
