Been studying python for a few weeks hit a wall, I don't know what to do with the information I take In. I know what dictionaries are, lists ect. Have imported and installed libraries but find It incredibly hard to take what I've learned and apply It independently. How do I overcome this?

I am learning python as well. Read more books, man. Knowing what lists and dictionaries are isn't shit unless you can use them effectively. Importing stuff isn't shit either. You need to read books. Read some books. Video lessons ain't shit. Read. Get off codecademy and read some books. Also, there is a secret resource out there that 99% of people who are learning code are using.
>>
>>53799873
Is the secret resource books? Can I get a recommendation? Read some of Automate the boring stuff and learned looping but I don't see Its practicality In my life.

Try implementing different data structures from scratch. Like linked lists, doubly linked lists, binary trees, stacks, queues, etc.

Sophie Kleeman, writes at Gizmodo that according to a study at the University of Michigan people who are more sensitive to written typos and grammatical errors are indeed the kinds of 'Type A assholes' everyone already suspects them to be. Researchers gathered 83 people and had them read emails that either contained typos ("mkae" or "abuot"), grammar errors (to/too, it's/its or your/you're), or no spelling mistakes at all. Participants were asked at the end of the experiment whether or not they'd spotted any grammatical errors or typos in the emails, and, if so, how much it had bothered them. The researchers then asked the participants to complete a Big Five personality assessment -- which rates where they are on a scale of openness, agreeableness, extraversion/introversion, neuroticism, and conscientiousness -- as well as answer questions about their age, background, and attitude towards language. People who tested as being more conscientious but less open were more sensitive to typos, while those with less agreeable personalities got more upset by grammatical errors. "Less agreeable participants showed more sensitivity to 'grammos' than participants high in agreeability," the researchers said, "perhaps because less agreeable people are less tolerant of deviations from convention."

The study also finds people who don't capitalize their I's are underage children. "Didn't everybody already know this?", remarked a linguist at Princeton University.

Built many desktops with msi mobos, never had any issues. Personally I buy Asus for myself but have no gripes with msi
>>
Make good GPUs and and mobos are pretty decent. Customer support has also been pretty good for me, very fast rma process. They are definitely the most ricer when it comes to aesthetics though.
>>
Why are their GPUs usually the cheapest option?

>When you install Oculus Home a background service with full permissions is spun up and never spun down. This service is used to detect when the rift is turned on so it can automatically launch the rift, but it is also used to constantly communicate with facebook servers.

>Now this should be concerning, if you look at Oculus' privacy agreement you will find these:

>>Information Automatically Collected About You When You Use Our Services. We also collect information automatically when you use our Services. Depending on how you access and use our Services, we may collect information such as: Information about your interactions with our Services, like information about the games, content, apps or other experiences you interact with, and information collected in or through cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies (additional information about these technologies is available at https://www.oculus.com/en-us/cookie...r-technologies/)

>So considering Facebook used to allow messanger to passively listen to your conversations using your phone's mic so it could better target ads
, this should be concerning. A bit further in Oculus's privacy agreement you will find:

>>How do we use information? We use the information to do a number of things that help us provide our Services to you and our partners. Here are some examples: To market to you. We use the information we collect to send you promotional messages and content and otherwise market to you on and off our Services. We also use this information to measure how users respond to our marketing efforts.

>Seems pretty obvious what the end goal is (built in microphone into the rift).

>tl;dr: When you install Oculus home and agree to the terms of service you are agreeing to let Facebook use any and all information it can glean from your machine/rift/microphone to better target ads/sell to third parties.

Looking at buying a samsung tab a 9.7 with a cracked screen for dirt cheap. Found some pretty cheap replacement screens online and was gonna repair it myself. Any one ever tried this? Is it easy to fuck up?

The problem is that it may not just be a bad screen. It really depends on how the touch screen is implemented.

Looking to get a remote for my PC, hoping you guys can help.

Ideally I'd like something cheapish, with 8-12 mappable buttons that works over usb or bluetooth. A scroll wheel or click wheel would be great too.

Something like the Wacom Express Key Remote pictured.

Any ideas?

I was also considering getting something like this, but I don't know if they can pair with a pc and I don't know how I could remap the buttons or possibly the joystick.

Seem like it might be viable?
>>
And my other avenue of thought would be a wireless numpad, and I could try to custom map the keys, but I want to use it for photoshop and I like using the number keys to control opacity, I'd rather not change that.

Is there any way to bind numpad numbers separately from main keyboard numbers?
>>
>>53798500
google "autohotkey second keyboard" for a bunch of results. I've been thinking about it but haven't tried it yet. I want to do the same thing - use an extra numpad as a hotkey pad

It's a solid distro, though not cutting edge. If it works for you, then use it.

Cinnamon is a very good DE too.
