What does /g/ think of boost?
I'm about ready to ditch project fi and switch over to them. I use too much mobile data and I feel like I'm paying too much anyway.
Fi is crazy expensive for moderate to heavy data users... Switch to something else pronto OP...
Boost is great if you live near a city. I regularly use 70gb+ each month on the unlimited lte plan. Speeds aren't the best for me (4-6mbps) but I don't really care since I can use as much data as I want.
I think boost puts into question the quantity over quality question into real world perspective. The networks aren't the fastest but they offer cheap unlimited lte plans (at least for burgerland). I'm currently on cricket and seriously thinking about switching over as well.

I think it's great news. Lock-in under linux isn't any better for users than lock-in under Windows.

Microsoft can try, but will never make Windows appealing for autistic linux users.
Has anyone read pic related?

The C5 comes packing a 5-inch 720p HD display with a MediaTek MT6735 processor mated to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable (via microSD up to 32GB) internal storage
n the camera department the C5 comes with an 8MP primary camera mounted on the back while selfies are handled by a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Giving the device juice is a 2,200 mAh battery.

Android TV or HTPC?
HTPC, I would rather have the full desktop experience.
HTPC if you'll be doing some heavy stuff, Android for the light stuff.
>>53768488
nvidia shield is confy (i have no experience with other android stuff on TV) but if you want the best experience possible go with a HTPC
>spout your genius idea every week on /g/

google did something with that?
anyone did anything with that?
I wouldn't care, if my ideas came to reality is be thrilled anyway

Still yet to see that phone hit the markets.
I'm finally starting to think that /g/ was fucking right, CS is a meme.
Just look at how many people with either irrelevant degree or no degree at all who work as developer or any related positions. My own sister who is a PhD Graduate in Bioscience has worked as a project manager in an IT company for many years. It's literally trivial for people in STEM to start a career in cs.
And not only this but now we have to deal with pajeet from all around the world when seeking a job.

Hey /g/,
Apple will change the name of OS X in future versions to macOS.
In fact, there will be a macOS 11 this year.
Apples OS lineup will be the following:
tvOS
iOS
watchOS
macOS

Cool.

I mean, this is gonna change literally nothing but I think I prefer the name macOS. It makes much more sense given how versions are now released.
OS X is obsolete. It'll be replaced by iOS.
Programming degree or computer science?
You guys get to decide my future. If programming (already have experience in it), suggest reading material. If CS, suggest introductory reading.
Wtf is a 'programmimg' degree
> inb4 he took the bait
Programming. Make sure you learn as many different languages and syntaxes as possible. Companies like people who are versatile and can read and write in many languages. Though you don't need to mess with ASM at all, compilers handle all of that now and there's no need to touch that messy subject.

buy a graphics card and stop using an APU for gaming???
Get a decent CPU cooler, you fag.
Alternatively, build a new Intel+NVidia machine for maximum housefire prevention.
Should have got the 7860k with the new cooler.

I have a quick C++ question. New to modern standard and confused, don't know how to google this properly.
I have an object of type A with 5 data members. Object B has a member of type A. I want a function to pass a new A to B to refresh that member in the most efficient manner possible. Here's what I have:inline void B::refreshA(const A& _a) {
a = _a;
}
and wrote the copy assignment operator of A as:inline A& A::operator=(const A& rhs) {
m1 = rhs.m1;
