Is it bad that I'm going to university without a laptop? I don't see why I'd need one.

I like taking notes on my laptop at school as well as dicking around/researching the topic more.
I've found it invaluable but you could probably get away without one. most people that have laptops are also retards who go on facebook and don't pay attention. if you fall in that group you are better off without one.

I never used one, only time I needed to was when I was working on programming on campus (not often, I work better at home), then I'd just use a usb and a computer in the lab. I don't think it's bad, you're probably learning more just taking notes traditionally.

Twitter's main draw is the miniaturization of posts to things you can check in a few seconds. Expanding to 10k characters would turn twitter into a flood of text.

Now you have one port for everything, rather than like 2 USB ports, 1 headphone jack, 1 mic, 1 HDMI slot, 1 VGA slot, 1 SD card, 1 Micro SD card, 1 charging port, 1 disc drive, 1 USB port. It's a waste of space.

I put an HDD into an enclosure and plugged it into a usb slot. The light turns on, I hear it spin, and windows says something's plugged in, but the drive isn't showing up anywhere. What did I fuck up?

Any bookshelf speaker of any respectable quality is going to sound better than PC speakers in plastic cabinets. Trying to make a 5.1 or even 2.1 for that kind of price cannot be of any quality at all.
I'm rocking a pair of Kef iQ5 SE.
I don't see any reason to change.
