Uh... I know rails and MVC. I wanted to get into node and react, so I looked at this:

https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2016/03/server-side-rendering-react-node-express/

Even his 'simple' example has a mindblowing amount of shit just to serve a simple page. What the fuck is this and is react really this hard to learn?
>>
fuck this I'm gonna use rails and actioncable
>>
>>55399310
or you just could learn React first and then move to server-side rendering

Asking "Hey guys, what's your opinion on x?" is frowned upon.
Wireless is frowned upon.
Headset requests are frowned upon.
Noise isolation ? Noise cancellation
If you dislike a suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, x sucks"

Hi, I recently bought a pair of Samson SR850s and I need a microphone to go with it.
I've seen the V-MODA BoomPro but that's quite expensive considering I wouldn't use it that much. So is there anything cheaper that still is not terrible? Thanks

That seems reasonable. How am I supposed to attach it though, I don't think attaching it to the cable is a good idea, right?

so this is probably some miniscule thing i'm missing, but whatever.

i recently bought an 8800GTS because it was dirt cheap and my beater rig could use a decent card, but when i inserted it and tried booting up all i got was a high-pitched continous beep, which i've read is probably a POST code for video failure.

now, here's where it gets fucky : my PSU is arguably too weak for the 8800GTS (350W with a 15A 12V rail), but is this enough to trigger a video failure warning, or is the GPU it self not functioning? also, could i get away with somehow powering the card externally?

You bought a dead card.

Never buy a card more than 3 generations old. Right now you shouldn't purchase anything further back than nVidia GTX 700 series or AMD Radeon 200 series.

Linux autists unite, it's time to show off your inferior bash profiles, as none are as glorious as mine, prove me wrong. All prompt components double in function as the time component's color indicates system load, the user's color indicates privilege elevation, the host's color indicates local/remote/ssh session, and the pwd's color indicates disk space. I also have way too many aliases in my .bashrc, as shown by the "whereami?" command.

Hey /g/ ... I don't really know where to turn to on this subject so here I am. I've done my fair share of research on the topic, but I just wanted to get any of your guy's "real" opinions. Hopefully I'm on the right board.

I was reading stuff on reddit when I came across a review link, but the page has been deleted for some reason ( joselcontreras.com/about-coding-house/ ). It's even been disabled from archive.org... sketchy, right?

So... has anyone ever been to one? Or know of anyone that has "graduated" from one?

It's sounds so promising... 3 months of programming/coding bootcamp and you're "guaranteed" a ~$75k yearly job? Some schools even give you back your tuition if you don't land a job in 6 months. I know. Sounds too good to be true. Which is why I'm here. I know all about the "you can't learn to code in 3 months" (believe me, I've read many people angry over that fact, but I don't think these bootcamps are made to turn out software engineers, but more junior level programmers).

If you're new to this and have no idea what I'm talking about and this all sounds real good. It does sound real good... and it may be. But a lot of the "school's" have ridiculous acceptance rates (honestly, I don't even know who/what they look for in candidates/applicants). One of the bootcamps has an acceptance rate that's lower than Harvard.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Shitposts?

Thanks.
