So, after adding a second 2gb ddr3 1033 ram to this ancient PC, it stopped booting unless I remove the graphics card and use the integrated graphics.
The PSU is 400w so I was wondering if this is what happens when the motherboard isn't supplied with enough power.

>>
A ddr2 stick uses less than 5 watts, so that's highly unlikely
>>
A RAM stick is like 2W.
Make sure it's seated and the 6-pin is plugged in.

>USB 3.0
That shit ain't old.

Literally worked before the ram change. I changed the ram and it doesn't work anymore.
Installing a graphics card isn't in any way difficult or complicated, so it's not that.

I just received my computer today.

I have a Corsair 750D Case, with a z170 gaming pro motherboard, and a corsair 750 plat power supply.

I turned on the computer the first time, and everything went great. I wanted to install some software by CDs, but noticed my disk driver wasn't ejecting.

I turned off the computer, then opened her up. She wasn't connected to the mobo or the psu. I found the cords and put them inside her.

I tried turning her on again, but nothing happened. I inspected the power button, the cords seem fine. I'm not sure how to pop the case to see her insides.

The motherboard lights still glow when theres power, but the power button doesn't do shit. My fans don't run.

My case lights don't turn on.

My gpu leds don't turn on.

And my fucking optical driver doesn't do shit.

What could be the problem?

Is this how hacking basically works?

More or less, yeah. It's a little tedious to remember all the combinations of ones and zeros but you get the gang of it after a while.

In June 2000, while visiting Korea, I did a fun hack that clearly illustrates the original and true meaning of the word "hacker".

I went to lunch with some GNU fans, and was sitting down to eat some tteokpaekki (*), when a waitress set down six chopsticks right in front of me. It occurred to me that perhaps these were meant for three people, but it was more amusing to imagine that I was supposed to use all six. I did not know any way to do that, so I realized that if I could come up with a way, it would be a hack. I started thinking. After a few seconds I had an idea.

First I used my left hand to put three chopsticks into my right hand. That was not so hard, though I had to figure out where to put them so that I could control them individually. Then I used my right hand to put the other three chopsticks into my left hand. That was hard, since I had to keep the three chopsticks already in my right hand from falling out. After a couple of tries I got it done.

Then I had to figure out how to use the six chopsticks. That was harder. I did not manage well with the left hand, but I succeeded in manipulating all three in the right hand. After a couple of minutes of practice and adjustment, I managed to pick up a piece of food using three sticks converging on it from three different directions, and put it in my mouth.

It didn't become easy—for practical purposes, using two chopsticks is completely superior. But precisely because using three in one hand is hard and ordinarily never thought of, it has "hack value", as my lunch companions immediately recognized. Playfully doing something difficult, whether useful or not, that is hacking.

Arrow Launcher. Turn off all the widget pages and bing wallpaper shit and you have a home page of apps sorted by frequency and recency of use, as well as a dock with an app drawer. Pic related.

Smart launcher 3. Automatically sorts all apps into different categories instead of an alphabetical app drawer, and gives you a basic homescreen with normal phone functions.

APUS launcher used to be GOAT but got filled with ads. download an older version, or ASUS ZenUI launcher.
Turn off the recommendation features and you have a paginated homescreen, and no app drawer as all apps are automatically sorted into folders similarly to Smart Launcher. A nice Inbetween of the customization of normal launchers and simplicity of Smart launcher.

There, now you can stop fucking around with launcher customization and actually use your phone.

Ive yet to actually see useful homescreen customization, desu. Algorithms design it better.
>>
What is the point of using any other launcher than default?

I'm a friendless hermit with no phone so my only experience with Android is my tablet and I tried nova once and I couldn't think of anything to do with it that the default couldn't already do.

Is there a way to have 2 video cards operating separately (non-sli) in a windows computer?

Say I buy a new video card but the old one is still fully functional. Could it be possible to keep the 2nd one and have it be in charge of everything except programs specifically given to the new one? So all the stuff on other monitors or on the background would run on the old card while the game would get 100% of the power of the new card?

Alternatively to have monitor 1 hooked up to and managed by the new card while monitors 2 & 3 and the programs running on those monitors handled by old card?

Is it within the realm of possibilities or even easily doable with a standard windows setup?

No.
Also, you're and idiot.
>>
If I'm not mistaken, you just have to install two video cards and you achieve this. Have you even bothered to try it?
>>

I don't have a second card lying around.
