Ctrl Alt F1 if you really have to get anything done on the system.
Don't use small distros if you can't fix them yourself. Stick to fedora or Ubuntu if you want to actually get shit done. Force yourself to use Arch for a brutal learning experience.

i made a console app in java. works flawlessly on my pc, but does not display text properly on console of another computer. what could be the reason? console settings are the same, console coding is the same, i can't get it working on 2nd computer as it displays squares and stuff.

Is it possible to find a log (with timestamp) of all accessed files on Windows?
