GPU are universal. As long as you have a PCI Express slot, and enough power, you can make it work. The socket of your motherboard (the place where you put the CPU) doesn't matter. Go for it.

This. OOP while itmay have it's flaws (and I personally don't like it either), is not 'teh evil'.
People are trained to write C in any language, to make italian cuisine with their code, and often they only care to have the thing work through patchwork rather than good design.
But refactoring is usually a good thing, whatever paradigm you use. Code rarely comes out clean the first time you do it, even the second and third times, and with a better understanding of the problem from a first...

Does anyone happen to know whether it's legal to download the PDF's of court records via PACER? PACER in the USA is basically a system to access all court records which are at the District (Federal, but districts are often states or part of states) courts records. I have the manual here but I figured some of you might know. A relative has a bankruptcy case ongoing and I'd like to just save all 50 or so court documents if I can. Printing is another thing, I think.. because they want 10 cents per page which is bullshit. They can't know you have saved the PDF...

If you access via fee free, then you can't share anything you download.
If you pay for the docs you can give them to whoever you like. A Firefox/Chrome extension will mirror anything you do on PACER for free.

Apart from the case, which I bought in 2007, the PSU and 1.5TB Seagate HDD I bought in 2009. I think those are the oldest parts in use.

i see, but the klipsch's earpads are oval and tehrefore not that noticable, while still maintaining noise cancellation.
Also lightweight as fuck in terms of weight.

Why do people build big, bulky desktops that make a lot of noise have flashy colours and lights and are overall distracting as hell ? I want a pc that isn't even visible, not noticeable. Something that gives the "i press this button on the monitor and it just werks" kind of vibe. Does /g/ have anything similar? A pc that is built inside a wall or desk or something?
