What's a good vpn? I only used PIA but that was only for one month.
I can get a year of PIA for about $30 right now. Is it really that bad? Any other suggestions for VPNs?
I went to the sticky but there wasn't any suggested vpns

>using a vpn based in the US
>not expecting hoards of nigger dicks to ravage your anus when you get busted doing whatever you do
Get a vpn based in a country with relaxed internet laws. NordVPN is good, same with mullvad (ive heard) and anonine
>>52068837
op i'm in the same boat. every month i had pia i just told myself "oh i'll cancel next month"
i use vpns too much to not buy a yearly subscription. i am probably ditching pia and getting mullvad. based in europe, good security and privacy. desktop/mobile clients. i think it's what i'm going to use.

I'm using Cactus because they were the cheapest month-to-month option that still looked decent. You have to choose a package when you sign up; I went for Liberty which is in NL and is the only one that allows torrents.
I must stress that mine is a low-security use case. I'm only using it to make sure I'm not low-hanging fruit for the copyright trolls.
Best way to kill myself with a computer?
Install Windows 10.
Install gentoo.
stick you penis in the power supply
any retail chains i can get led strips that run off a central component that'll allow me to customize the colors with? looking to line my desk and bed preferrably off one component
>>52068540
you're going overboard. don't run a good idea into the ground.
as for OP, you should be able to get them from amazon, but a quick google for "programmable LED strip" yields a handful of results.
If I were you, I'd probably get LED strips and a micro computer device to act as a controller (maybe Raspberry Pi? idk). use that to do more complex controller stuff.

Pic related,
It's an Civil engineering structural design program called PANOPLIA that is quite good compared to available offerings, the thing is 8500 fucking Euros ..!!
From a Greek company called Pi-systems International.
So I'm a civil Engineering student and naturally sought after the best possible program for my uses..!
The reason I'm posting in /g/ is that this particular software was an open source application developed by a group of German students, then bought by the Greek company,
http://www.pi.gr/CMSnew/index.php?option=com_content&
and apparently the source of the program vanished from existence, and since I was unable to find the source, I looked for a cracked version ... but to no avail , thus I ask the place I think is most capable of pointing me to the right direction /g/.
tl;dr A program called PANOPLIA was open source bought by a company then the source disappeared, need help finding the previously open source or a crack for the 8500 euros program!
Im mechanical engineering student and it takes a while to think of a commercial software that doesnt offer free student licence. Hard to believe it's much different with civ engineering software.
OP here, It really is a great deal to find the source for this application as it's a rare thing in our field (open source production grade software)..
so for the good of the field the source is important, but for my own purposes I'd be satisfied with a crack !!

The Educational Version is extremely limited compared to the paid software, and to what is offered by other software companies..!
Hi /g/

What was even the point of linking all those? May as well not have replied at all.
You know OP, why would you need people to spoon feed you info about what to spend your money on? Honestly jut lurk more.
My personal opinion would be; depending on your PSU you could easily deduce weither or not to do a whole CPU/mobo/GPU/ram/cooling/SSD/1440p monitor or Ultra wide(2560×1080)
So, this just happened to me recently:
My Samsung Galaxy S3 used to take fine picture, but now the image quality of the photos is just awful.
The issue seems to be fairly common, but there doesn't seem to be a proper reason or fix for it. I've tried the most common recommendations: manual ISO, anti-shake off/on, cleansed the lens, installed alternative camera apps, etc.
Pic very related; two shots taken at the same range, same settings, same distance, roughly same light conditions, less than a week apart, outdoors. Now even daylight photos are filled with visible grain.
Just recently my mother-in-law's S4 Actice started showing similar symptoms, and it's quite annoying. Has anyone found any way to remedy this problem, or should I try resetting the whole device to factory defaults?
That's what you get for buying cheap chinese consumer trash.

SCREENSHOT
So I just got an msi gtx 980, 600w power supply, and 8gb of ram installed on my pc. The problem is, my pc will just spontaneously crash/reboot after about 20 minutes of playing any game. I have been googling and I have a feeling it's a temperature issue but I don't know enough troubleshooting stuff to fix it. Do any of you guys have any tips?
Please someone take time to help, thanks
Dowload msi afterburner or asus gpu tweak to monitor temps of the gpu while you play a game, also make sure the quality of the psu is up to spec (what brand is it?)

I bought it at best buy, its a evea one that was 40 bucks
I'm moving to a new apartment, and in my new building, each apartment has its own corresponding "basement" which is basically a single room secured a solid door and a padlock found in the underground hallway, accessible by the stairwell. Most people use these for storage but I've noticed mine is fully equipped with electrical outlets and heaters. It's big enough to set up some sort of office or vidya center (inb4 cuckshed) but I'm not sure how I'll get my wifi down there.
I've seen these wifi repeaters but they seem to be designed for mcMansions and I question if they can penetrate all the metal and concrete between my front door and my basement which is all the way at the end of the hall (pic related). And since repeaters are typically placed at the halfway point between the router and the intended receiver, I doubt I'd be able to set one up in the stairwell or the basement hallway where anyone could steal it.
My budget is about $150 to get a wifi signal down there that's good enough for some console/pc gaming and youtube, but I'd be willing to increase my budget to about $300 if it means getting wifi down there that's damn near as strong as it is in my apartment. I'm just worried about buying a repeater only to find out it can't do the job.
Suggestions? Anyone have to something like this before? Sorry but I don't know the dimensions of the building since I'm not there yet.

what is the fucking point
>>52067214
you still don't have to rewrite everything for every program you make
why does /g/ takes cross-platform as something very important where you will be using one system for most case and even with dual booting having the same program on both systems is retarded?
>GUI Library
>not electron

Only problem is that the inspirons are built poorly. You're kinda rolling the dice on whether or not it's going to have physical problems in like a year or two.
Specs-wise though, looks great. I'd replace the storage with an SSD though. I've found those hybrid drives to fail very often.
I have a plan to end the OUTSOURCING OF ENGINEERING JOBS
Whoever wants to join just enlist in this thread and stick to the plan
Up until now the banter against Indians has been along the lines of "they turk our jerbs" without much detail on how. Many indians are unironically happy about this, and for some reason some even believe that they take jobs because they are better than western engineers.
We need to find out why it is that they are so oblivious since one of the key aspects of war is to know your enemy. I have a theory: Their """"consultancy companies"""" feed them that bullshit to keep them enslaved doing 15h a day of grunt work AND motivated, since if they weren't in denial they would be unmotivated and things would go a lot worse.
Well, we will focus our strategy on countering that. We will MAKE IT WELL KNOWN that indians in outsourcing are just cheap grunts doing menial meaningless labor that will be automatized soon. We are mad that they take those jobs because if they were in America or Europe they would be 8h a day for a decent wage, and many white people could actually use a job like that. Not to mention when some companies lay off a western engineer and hope that 20 indians working 15h a day will do the trick.
If Indians realize their dignity is being insulted, outsourcing will end and everyone will win. Easy as that. The problem is that now they are oblivious as fuck, we need a heavy campaign of calling them cheap grunts and subhumans. I already started on leddit since they are ""tolerant"" as fuck and encourage indians all the time, check this out: reddit.com/user/lyingtruth379
StackOverflow activity would be cool too but moderation there is a bit harsher.

How about actually learning useful things so you aren't a replaceable code monkey? I doubt they teach cutting edge machine learning or databases at the University of Poo in the Loo.

>Many indians are unironically happy about this, and for some reason some even believe that they take jobs because they are better than western engineers.
Bullshit. People are taking jobs that they can take. Are you really going to blame people for applying and accepting a job offer? The reason why they select it because the pay is higher than in other places, and because it's something they think they can do.
> they would be 8h a day for a decent wage, and many white people could actually use a job like that
And may Indians would want a job with less perks; they'd be happy to settle for it. The evidence is that they actually do settle for it. What's your point?
>If Indians realize their dignity is being insulted, outsourcing will end and everyone will win.
What gives you this idea? "Tell people their job is worthless, that will make them stop doing their job." isn't a solution to anything. And it's not going to win over someone getting paid comparatively well to other jobs in India for the same effort but worse wages.
Make better paid jobs in India or whatever else you outsource to. That way people will select that job instead. The only thing this doesn't deal with is the Indians who have this sort of job as a passion. Those ones are probably better programmers though.
Should I get the v10 ?
Upgrading from the LG G2 .
Just found out the v10 has a petty good dac even though it it's similar to the g4. Cpu though can be better...
