What are some cheap, small quality MIDI keyboard controllers?
I just kind of want to make music for video games and stuff. I looked into /mu/ wiki, but the links looked like they were from pre-widescreen internet, so it's probably outdated.
Here's basically my AFAIK on the topic:
You press a key on the keyboard, the pianoroll/whatever the music program uses registers it as a note. I have no clue what the knobs and sliders are for. Is a soundcard required?

Also you don't need a keyboard with a bunch of knobs and shit, you can do all that through the DAW you will be using
I would get something like this; a plain keyboard with the pitch bend and modulation wheels. The one you posted doesn't look too great desu, you can always buy a midi mixer and drum pad down the road if you like making music. You wouldn't be able to do anything more than simple melodies with a key board that size, and you won't be able to play with both hands (easily).

For these past 30 years working on computers.
Things were beautiful, in terms of air cooling, giant fans blowing air everywhere, things get dirty you clean the dust out, things go fine again for a year. Then you need to clear some more dust.
Then filters were introduced, things got a bit cleaner.
Suddenly, in year 2010, water cooling came out (when I noticed it)...
Between us all, does water cooling really works?
Sure it does work on "cars" with radiators and high pressure environment, but DOES IT REALLY WORK?
Some will say yeah I got 25 degrees idle temp instead of 35 that I would get on my stock fan.
Some would suggest that both options in terms of (super coolmaster air and water cooling) are quite the same.
But isn't PC cases designed as pressurised air container for cold air to enter and exit as hot air?
I never tried water cooling and may not try it, but am sure some will share few opinions?

so i think my GPU just died, atleast partially
7870 that i've had for 4 years now
today i was just browsing the internet and the screen turned in to grey squares and made that bsod sounds TRRRRRRRRRRTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR so i rebooted that shit and what do you know, bios shows artifacts and windows wont go past the login screen, it looks really fucked
at the moment i'm posting from safe-mode, it works atleast
do you think it's the GPU? i've been overclocking it for the past 4 years with my CPU while the idle temperatures werent that great... so yeah i think it's probably that but i don't have spares to test with
also switched the card in to another pci-e slot, didn't do nothing

Well the new cards are coming out soon. Maybe just buy a $30 if you can and wait a month or two for the new cards. This is if you are sure it is the GPU though. Do you have integrated graphics?
