OSX literally has the best of both worlds, it's simple, aesthetic, and modern for the common person (like windows), and it can also be 'riced', has terminal, it's twice as fast as windows, and basically better than everything other than games (like linux).

There's literally no reason why you should not own a OSX machine, and I just gave you the reason, try proving me wrong.

Spoilers: You can't.

The graphics drivers are unoptimized garbage.

Stock genuine Apple hardware gets better graphics performance when dual booted into Windows using Boot Camp.

Moto G isn't bottom of the barrel. They can afford to put a few features in there. Moto E is indented to be the lowest price.

And to add the feeling of being up to date with the newer tech. And of course to sell it to you for a higher price.

Anon, don't buy this dogshit.
Get any established chink phone brand like acer, huawei, lenovo.

I have an acer for less than 100$, could not be happier with it. my parents got also cheap acer. and some friends huawei phones.
No complains so far.
They were annoyed that their flagship phones were unserviceable and they had to throw it away after 2-3 years. The did not want to open the phones to do it themselves or give it to a repairshop. Basically they were so angry about their thrown away 500$ that they didn't want to have anything to do with the brands.

Microsoft have decided to close down Lionhead Studios and cancel their projects; this included the once upcoming Fable Legends.
Fable Legends was one of the very few games that Nvidia were touting to be good for them as they barely etched out a performance win over AMD in the early, closed beta stage.
Now with Microsoft having closed Lionhead, there will be no more Fable (among other games also) and puts Nvidia at a loss of one of their bragging points on DX12.

Adding the Skylake i3, since mobos and DDR4 are cheap now. Downgrading Vishera a tier, and upgrading the i3 a tier. This makes the AMD/Intel divide a bit more pronounced, but also divides the tiers by RAM type.

What do you think?
36 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
okay
>>
I support it. The new i3s are becoming really good options compared to the way games are utilising the power they provide.

Haswell i3s were already an okay choice compared to FX chips, but I think this is a good call given what Skylake brings in comparison.
>>
You should recommend the NH-D15 with every AMD processor.

does linux update drivers like windows updates does. wanna put linux on laptop dunno

Linux update drivers better than windows does. It's basically a single command.

However, when the kernel is updated things get a bit complicated as drivers are part of the kernel. But don't worry there is dynamic kernel module support which automatically recompiles everything when a new kernel is installed.

So basically yeah, it's just running a single line of command.

how does one enable drivers in linux for wireless
>>

>wanna put linux on laptop dunno
You don't have to install a linux distro to try it out.

Look up LiveCD/LiveUSB or setup a VM.

That way you don't have to depend on the opinions of folks.

>drivers
The only time I have needed to worry about drivers on a linux box was when:
1) The hardware was really old.
2) The distro I was using had a certain philosophy about software and didn't include the drivers I needed by default.

If your hardware is modern (5 years or newer) and not made by some oddball chinese company then you probably aren't going to have any driver issues. Especially if you use an 'easy' distro.

Broke ass college student here and I recently found a Moto G 2nd gen for only 95 bucks. It will be receiving Android 6 (M) but I'm not sure about Android N. Go or no go? If no go, what other phones are recommended? And, I do mean it that I'm broke; I'm only willing to shell out 100 dollars.

It's okay.

I'm not sure if it's worth 95$ though.

very happy with my 2nd gen moto g. just make sure you get a case for it.
>>
No, it's not worth that much anymore, you can get something from LG that's superior for that kind of money and just fucking better overall.

Bravo good sir.

The failures usually don't hurt anything, and if it installs several versions, it increases the chance that one of them is right. (Note: The 'yes' command and '2>/dev/null' are recommended additions.)

What's the point? If you really want something like this you could use the AUR.

I think you'd rather install something the right way, find dependencies you need, configure to suit your needs, rather than throw a universal installer at it.
