I originally though I'd just use my Soundmagic E10 that I use with my phone, but I can't keep them in for very long.
So I've got a $25 Target gift card, I'm thinking about adding a 5er with it and picking up these Apple EarPods. What's the common opinion on them?

They are fucking disasters.
There's pretty decent if their form fits your ear. IMO it's probably the best cheap non-dildo earbud out there. In-ear buds don't work for me (none are comfortable for more than 5m at a time) and the earpods are the best I've come across so far without getting spendy.

AMD has revoked its claim that Zen would offer 40% IPC change, and has instead begun saying Zen has HIGHER IPC than their original flat 40% prediction. That would be an odd move for them if Zen was actually worse than their original 40% prediction - which hints at the possibility that Zen is actually getting better as 14nm silicon from Samsung matures.

OLPC: what went wrong?
I've used Sugar, the Fedora based OS it's running. I kimda enjoy it. I do want to tinker with the hardware though
Too ahead of it's time.
$200 for a computer meant for poor kids in countries where they don't even have running water would be absolutely laughable today.
In actual deployment, the OLPC XO proved too fragile to withstand any use.
Test classrooms that received OLPCs would quickly stop using them because half the class would break their shiny rich people toy.
I really don't know why anyone thought this was a good idea.
