Hey /g/

I'm looking for a decent powerbank to charge my 6plus. I'm considering around the 10k-15k mark to suit my
pokemon go
needs. What is the absolute best value?

Hardmode: I live in Middle Earth so the selection is pretty poor

Can someone explain to me how bitcoin mining is bad for AMD? I vaguely heard about quite a bit over the years, but I never truly understood why.

Sorry, I forgot 2014 ended two years ago
>>
It`s not really bad for amd if you`re strictly talking direct sales. But if you look at a broader picture of things, miners gobbling up radeon cards and driving the prices to low stocked product through the roof reduce AMD`s gaming market share. This reduces developer incentive to actually put an equal amount of effort into AMD optimization as they do Nvidia. Which in turn also reduces consumers incentive to purchase AMD GPUs and overall reducing their potential income.
>>
>>55548333
it's only bad for the AMDerps that have to shell out $500 for $200 MRSP cards

FYI Lightning Deal going on for Code Complete on Amazon right now.

I ordered this laptop and they fucked up with the model and sent me one with Integrated Graphics instead of NVIDIA, I already researched and I can´t refund it so I´ll have to keep it. Tried playing TF2 in 1920x1080 to test it and my laptop got boiling hot after 10 minutes, turns out the GPU is only using this...

It´s a Dell Inspiron 15 7000, is there any hope for casual gaming at least?

You're fucking stupid or this is bait.

Lets try to find once and for all, what is the most eficient OS out there.

Rules are simple:

>turn off all the heavy programs that may be running on your PC and post the SS of your screen using the least ammount of RAM and CPU
>the OS will be based on what uses the least ammount of resources while looking good at the same time.
>anons will post what is the best looking OS posted on the thread.
>by the end of the thread we decide who go points for most eficient, most eficient while looking good, and the least efficient of all (it will be the iOS, Im sure)

There you go. Lubuntu. Probably the lowest you can go. But I will not get a penny for beauty.

You have to better define shit. What is an OS? Surely someone could show an embedded OS using 512kb RAM or something.

I am assuming of course that you mean desktop OSs

Hello /g/ I was wondering what would be the better thing to do? Built my PC or buy a prebuilt one
15 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>55548191
Definitely build your own. Not only is it cheaper, you can have a nice custom machine and possibly (if you don´t fuck up) the best possible for your budget. It´s definitely the best way to go. Inb4 Alienware bullshit.
>>
>>55548191
Buy a prebuilt one, disassemble it and build it together again.

Best of both worlds.
>>
>>55548191
Stop being a lazy faggot and build it yourself.

Did you run it on a laptop or a desktop? Any hardware support issues?

Thinking of multi-booting a Core2 Mobile Precision I recently got my hands on with OI or straight Solaris, the latter was pretty okay on portables when I tried it except the wifi was really fucked up.

Hey, it's there any where I can pre-order a Nvidia 1060 in the USA? Preferably a MSI twin frozr. K thx

You can look to pre order, but here will be a lot of stock available.
>>

It seems as if this fool is trying to actively be parted from his money...

Seriously thou, don't pre-order anything until reliable benchmarks out. The benches for the 1060 that just "leaked" were from Nvidia's own materials and had some really suspicious settings and used old drivers from AMD.

You can't because it is a paper launch. The cards won't hit retailers for a few weeks.
