Recently I've taken up a photography hobby and I've been doing a little more traveling than usual as a result. I haven't owned a laptop in like 10 years and I have no idea what brands are trustworthy and shit now. But looking for something small, light and with good battery life. Just something to throw in my bag during my weekend trips.
Any good recommendations? Price isn't a huge issue. I'll pay up for something quality but not looking to waste money or anything.

If I want to index all of my media into a RDBMS like MariaDB, what would be more matching to best practise: create a separate database for each type of media (music, images, movies) or create a table in a single database for each type of media?
I'm just trying to wrap my head around how I'm going to design the tables with my basic knowledge of SQL.
