What is your method of making Windows 7 fonts look nicer?

I have installed gdipp and it looks pretty okay, better than the default fonts.

Install Windows 10.
gdipp only works on some Windows programs, it doesn't work on Word or Ms Office suite for example.

The i's would sometimes just stop showing for me with gdipp installed.

Hello I'm visiting from /b/
I need some help. I have 2 laptops both broken, one just loads up like the picture posted. The second won't even turn on but I don't expect much help with that because it could be anything. Please explain to me what the fuck this means? Whenever I press a key it just comes up again. Thank you

Your computer is trying to boot from the network rather than from it's hard drive.
Most likely the hard drive died so it's skipping that and choosing the 2nd boot device which, in your case, was confgured to be a PXE boot.

Reboot the laptop, press delete / f2 / f11 or whichever key it tells you to press to enter BIOS.
Find the list of boot devices and take a picture of that, then post it here.

I know nothing about audio. Which headphones would be better for gaming?

Sennheiser 598s or Astro A50s

I know the A50s are 7.1, are the 598s? Does that even matter?

I need to connect old laptop to a router (to get normal internet connection). It has no RJ45, but I found something like that(photo). Would it work, and why not? I couldn't find any info on such connection.

That's a fucking serial cable, you dumbass. Not a network cable. I mean, SLIP does exist, but you're not getting internet over that cable. (I don't understand a thing about SLIP though.)

At least your computer didn't hard lock in the middle of installing those drivers and brake x when you logged back in. This is why I don't use Arch anymore. It's a little too bleeding edge for me. Thanks for beta testing this stuff for me though.

What are some good resources for helping me decide on a laptop to buy?

If someone on here feels up to recommending one to me I'd be happy to post details about what I'm looking for.

/g/ isn't very good. You'll end up buying a used thinkpad or a rMBP if you listen here.
>>
>>51582589
If not /g/, where?

Just now discovered that Logical Increments has a new section about Laptops.

Been pretty happy with Logical Increments's recommendations in the past, so that's awesome.
>>
>>51582589
Used ThinkPads are great on a budget, and rMBP is great without much of a budget. They certainly aren't the only options, but stop pretending that it's just a meme. They are recommended for valid reasons.

What Linux distro will ever be able to compete with Windows and OS X?

I'm not talking about your autistic little custom Arch Linux setup with i3, I'm talking about an out-of-the-box distro with no botnet that just werks. That has lots of multimedia support and cutting-edge software

You won't get a botnet-free distro that plays mp3's. It's a proprietary format.

Anyhow, the distro that'll compete with Windows and OSX is the one that a manufacturer will start selling at a cheap. Kinda like back in 2010 with the Ubuntu netbooks.

That is the only way. Noone should be expected to install their own OS.
