Which should I get for uni? I just want to write documents and watch YouTube videos, I rarely have more than 5 tabs open in my browser.
Everyone at uni is just saying get a macbook because everything else is shit, but the lenovo 100s seems to get positive reviews.
So which to buy? Ideapad100s, or the base model MacBook Air?
The ideapad is roughly 250aud, and the MacBook is $1400.

You have very little understanding of how these things work. Fix that first.
Go and check out aircrack-ng. Their wiki is pretty good as a place to start if you're interested in this sort of thing. I ran a few proof of concept attacks with my own hardware, had less success with the neighbours' stuff. It's not actually as fun as it sounds, to be honest, but then I get bored easily so YMMV.

Out of those three I'd say Dropbox. Which isn't to say that Dropbox is good, it's just that on Google Drive you can literally access every file of another account simply by googling certain keywords and the other has been removing good features over time to sell you a premium account.
