How long do SSDs last compared to HDDs? One of the main reasons I got an SSD was cause I heard it lasts much longer than a mechanical hard drive. Also, I was originally gonna get the Samsung 850 Evo but got the one in the picture instead, should I regret it?

Why is /g/ only capable of memeing whenever the topic of gaming laptops comes up?
I get that the hivemind wants me to get a gaming desktop and a notebook. But believe it or not, there are laptops out there that can run videogames. Why does it become such a taboo subject here guys? I would love to have time to game in my room 8 hours a day but I can't.
I'm looking for, yes, a gaming laptop. Would be happy to spend £1000-1500 pounds. I've looked at a few but I thought I'd give /g/ one last try. Any recommendations?

I have a P8Z77-V Pro, and lately, almost every time I turn it on, it first shuts itself down before bios, restarts and I get a message "New CPU detected, press F1 to setup". When I do so, I'm taken to BIOS, which I just exit and it boots normally. Any idea what it might be?
I don't think it's the CMOS battery since the time is correct. Should I update the BIOS?

I got a Macbook (original unibody from 2008) for about $150 on ebay. Seller said it was broken, but the battery was just dead. Charged it and it works great. I upgraded the hard drive and threw some more ram in.
