I agree that a lot of people are fine with a single USB port, but what I'm most upset about is that the singe port is USB c instead of a regular USB 3 connector, especially since it's rumored that the new Macbook pros will only have type c ports.

Honestly I think the people on this board who would use an Apple product are just the spillover from reddit and /b/, as well as other boards.
Anyone who knows what they are doing, wouldn't choose to use an over-priced, non user-serviceable product. There is no reason to keep giving reasons, these two are sufficient already. It is not like using an Apple product is the worst thing you can do, but its no different from what anyone else does.
Apple products are for the ignorant (I don't mean that as an insult, again it is for those who don't know any better) and the tech illiterate.
Why do iPhones sell so well? A retard can use it, you pay for a controlled environment. Why is this good for the average joe? He can't fuck it up.
Besides these reasons, there is also the issue of hardware being soldered to the mobo, and the disgusting prices of in-store service, which is expected since you can't modify the machines yourself.

They're the most watered-down, vanilla things you can buy with no options or customization, no SD card slots, and people only buy them as a fashion accessory
The major advantage is software. iOS software is just leaps and bounds better than Android. Even when Android is smooth and fast, the interface is still clunky and inconsistent.
It's essentially the same difference as exists on the PC side between Windows and Macs: OSX is just incomparably more polished (and that extends also to 3rd party apps) vs. Windows (let alone Linux).

If you have the money to spurge just get a 1080 it's the better one, though some people are going on about its ti version later.
Do what you want. I would suggest 2 AMD 480's. But if you want a Gtx 1080, it's fine. But the AMD's would be cheaper and grant more performance.

i have recently been binge watching videos on the recent rise of augmented,virtual, and mixed reality software and i am really inspired. the thing is i don't know a damn thing about coding/programming, let alone making augmented/mixed reality stuff, not only that but i'm also interested in programming my own games along the way and hosting them up for free on my own website (that i will eventually make when i learn to program...) i have done some research and i at least know that i want to program in Python but i guess it boils down to; how do i go from knowing nothing to programming in Augmented and Mixed reality with all the other stuff i included along the way? is there other stuff about the augmented/Mixed reality scene that i missed? Any further insight i overlooked?
