Just fell for the chromebook meme
Apart from crouton for ubuntu, what else should I do with it?
Throw it in the trash

Post graphics cards
>>55597819
I love the idea of passive GPUs, and they look nice, but it's like they are just not up to task. Type in gpu in any kind of ad site, and 90% of the faulty ones will be passively cooled

WHAT THE PROBLEM WITH LINUX THEMES?
LOOK THAT SHIT!!!!!
I just want a nice dark theme.
anyone knows a dark theme that not fuck everything?

It's a bug in compatibility with old themes and recent builds of GTK 3

Low power usage cpu thread
I want a low power cpu to run plex 35 or below

I made the mistake of putting in a cheap rosewill piece of shit wifi adapter in my new build and its internet speed is less than 1Mbps. Meanwhile my laptop can get well above 50Mbps which is the correct internet speed for my plan.
I've heard good things about the intel wifi chipsets.
What would you guys recommend for a good PCIE wifi adapter?
i heard CAT5e is a decent option
>>55597599
I knew someone would say to just use ethernet.
I'd rather not go through the trouble of running wires through the walls and the attic considering my laptop gets the right speed over wifi.

>Not 1Gbps Ethernet
What are you doing?
I'm thinking about dual booting my system to run Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04, but I want to install it on my C: which is an SSD, and I'm running into a snag
I've got 60GB free out of 240GB and Disk Management only shows 0mb free when I try to shrink the volume to make the partition. I have other drives available, but I really want to run it on the SSD
I've defragged the drive and everything came back fine
What should I do /g/?
Are you retarded?
Resize outside of Windows, using gPartEd for example. Asking Windows to shrink its own system volume is never going to give as good results.
>>55597537
>on my C: which is an SSD
>firefox still requires flash to work
no it doesn't
>Dumb and dumber was written by Bill Gates as a story of average Windows users making it big in life
when will flash die
What does /g/ think of the new Google Keyboard?
How does yours look?
I hated it at first, and then just turned on borders and upped the vibration and it is comfy.
it's nice desu
Predictions are still shit. I prefer SwiftKey.
Hopefully this will cause SwiftKey to increase the number of themes they have.
So, I think I may be experiencing a bottleneck here, but I am not very good with computers. Which is why I am here, I have a Radeon HD 7950 and AMD FX(tm)-8350, which I think the gpu is bottlenecking my cpu but I am not sure. I could use the help, thanks /g/!
(pic not related)
Read the sticky
>>>/adv/
There will always be a bottleneck . That card and cpu combo should be fine
If you are playing below 1080p res, you will be cpu bound and amd fx cpus are not powerful enough for low res gaming
Are there IP cameras that can directly stream live video to a RTMP server like youtube, twitch, etc?
So I don't have a to run a computer/server with Wowza/red5/ffmepg or whatever... Just use the IP camera alone
So far I have only found some on this website, could this be real?
http://www.cctv-cbo.com/en/
got 3 of these. viewable direct in a web browser

builtin webserver for config and streaming

/diy/ didn't know how to help me so now I turn here out of desperation.
I'm attempting to install a car PC. Currently, I have the video out (composite) wired directly into where the backup camera connects (it is the only composite in in the car). According to the weird-ass motherfuckers that go to car forums, this is the best way to get video onto the monitor.
The only issue is, pic related happens. The image is distorted as fuck, warping in from the left side with degraded colors.
Does anybody know what might even cause this issue? The pi and...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>55597229
It's a power issue find a cleaner way to get power to the pi the screen is fine
>>55597268
Are you positive? I figured it might be this, but I also didn't notice anyone but audiophiles bitching about how clean USB power was. This same problem happens whether or not the pi is powered by the car (I have an extension cable out there as well) and with the same power source, the pi works fine on my projector.
>>55597285
Yeah the pi isn't getting enough power to output correctly try plugging in a keyboard and mouse and seeing if they work correctly at the same time as the screen
Why aren't OSX and iOS useragents instabanned from /g/?
>what are filters
because if you have such a fit over this shit then you should probably spend more time at a therapist's office and less time on 4chan
4chan runs on Mac Minis you ignorant cunt
Alright so I have port forwarded and hosted servers hundreds of times. All the sudden I'm having issues here.
Manual port forwarding and UPnP are both not working it seems. I have a WNR2000v4 router (wired) and a motorola sb6183 modem. UPnP lists the port fine.
Firewalls are off and I don't use an antivirus.
Any suggestions?
Reboot
>>55597157
Tried rebooting router, modem, and PC already. Nothing.
Is there a reason you can't use a Tor hidden service?
Hi /g/,
I was thinking about buying a laptop,
something like these thinkpads from /tpg/.
The cheaper it is the better.
Do you guys recommend something else or should I fall for the tpg meme?
Everyone else is falling for the thinkpad meme too, so prices have risen. get something like a Dell latitude.
>>55596840
OP here,
thanks, wil check them out.
Do you recommend any specific latitude/thinkpad models?
>>55596783
thinkpads are still cheap as fuck. If the prices have risen, it's almost not noticeable, at least to me. The price of your thinkpad will depend more on your local thinkpad market and the price YOU can get your thinkpad for.
Who /S4/ here?
My Nexus 6 was stolen earlier this week so I started using my previous phone until black friday when I can justify buying a new phone.
In the meantime, are there any good ROMs or anything else for the i9500?

>My Nexus 6 was stolen earlier this week
im sorry for your loss
did you lose anything important on it?
>>55596904
Thanks man, my pictures and stuff were backed up and so was most of the stuff on my google account, so I didn't lose anything that could not be recovered other than some porn.
I locked it remotely but I lost track of it a few hours later, seems like they wiped it and sold it.
