Who cares? people are going to keep using them anyways, and google and others oems will never keep the kernel up to date.

google is the only one pushing updates, carriers are usually behind or never push updates for older devices.

Most "hacking" is just poor configuration - you don't need to look through source code or write a special exploit, just spot a well-known vulnerability and you're at home.

Does anyone know where I can order a Logitech G400 mouse? Their sold out everywhere, but I'd really like this particular model.

I`m from the EU but I'll have it shipped from anywhere in the world.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi there /g/. I seem to be having a problem. Everytime I boot up my computer this window pops up and ask me if I want to install the curse client. I don't know where it's coming from. I've tried to run anti malware and anti virus but it doesn't seem to be detecting it. Does anyone know what this is and how I can go about deleting it from my computer?

Just got a shitty low end tablet for free, that you can see in pic related.
I only want to use it for school, so it's not a big deal if it's not very powerful. But, the problem is, it only has 512mb of RAM, so everytime I try to open multiple tasks (over even launching Chrome) it gets sluggish and it's problematic to keep using it.

I've already installed Hola Launcher and it actually got way better, but now I was thinking to expand the RAM through SD Card and using Swapper, reaching at least 1GB.
Would it be useful? Or would it somehow affect the performance even more? Do you think that in my case it would improve the overall functioning?

Also, is it out of question to upgrade the RAM directly via hardware? I mean,
disassembling the whole tablet and changing the RAM module. Are there some websites where I can buy specific hardware parts from? Or would it be too complicated and not worth it?

I also want to know if the RAM is soldered directly to the main module, and if is it possible to un-solder it without causing too much damage.

You do realize that hardware components of mobile devices are soldered to the main PCB due to overall size reduction of the device?

Without hot air and general soldering skills on at least moderate to fairly good level don't even try or you will fuck everything up seeing as you don't even know how shit is made inside the device.

Not to mention good software and electrinics skills are mandatory if you have to program this shit again. Being a chinese is a plus too as they have no patent issues and you can get a programmer there much easier.

That is if the scenario is good case, because in worst case you will have to program the shit out of the bios all over and walk in the dark blindly.

Why are RAR files still a thing? I can't see any reason to use it over zip, 7z or tarball depending on what you need.

I'm new to databases and I need to know which one system is more secure when handling bitcoin transactions.. SQL VS MONGODB.
6 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>53639735
Which SQL?
I would recommend Postgres with the new version supporting a proper JSON document store so there really is no need to keep MONGO hanging around
>>
Just use MySQL jesus H

which one is more secure? Well you'll probably screw something up if you try and make your own NoSQL DB with Mongo.
>>
>>53639779
actually mongo is probably easier to use but has a range of problems
