I have a Nexus 5 as well as a Nexus 5X.
The lag is so fucking appalling that I'm using the 5 despite, as you say, much poorer battery life.
I recommend waiting 1.5 month for the new Nexi or perhaps an OPO/N6P.
TRUST ME. The Nexus 5X is bad. Patches have never helped.

It's just a subscription model seems cheaper to the average idiot than a permanent-licence model.
20$ a month seems a lot cheaper than a one-off 500$ licence, even though anything longer than two years makes it bad financial sense.

I'm looking at my brand new Skylake computer screen after having just upgraded to Windows 10 last night. I haven't done anything to it besides install my Asus drivers. It's currently a completely virgin Windows 10 installation.
I realize you can't make Windows 10 totally private. I'm dual booting Windows 10 (gaming), Linux (everything else). I bought Skylake because my old gaming PC was 8 years old and dying and it was time for it to be replaced, so I might as well install windows 10 on my new Skylake since I'm only using Windows for gaming...

Graphics card was going to be an RX 480, but I decided to hold off due to the power draw issues. Hopefully a non-reference model won't have the power draw problems.
Rate mine, post yours. I'm actually using mine right now even without a graphics card, but for web browsing and programming work, not gaming yet.
