It's working. It's for a Ubuiti controller. The TDP is 2.5 watts. I don't need anything blazing.

I have a Q6600 and 8Gb ddr2.. I just don't don't such a build from such a small little job. Have my netbook tucked off to the side on my rack.

They mean that when you leave your computer on for literally years at a time, it won't crash using Linux, while it likely would running Windows or macOS.
Ubuntu's installer is pretty known for being "meh", you should check out Fedora.

OP here, I guess I don't care, but everyone has a device that is probably sometimes on the web and trying to render pages, now that I think about it the 4G modems probably produce 100x more heat than the CPU to interpret javascript...
I'm a PC gamer but I've been out of it for a while. What's the torrent client of choice these days? Should I just stick with uTorrent 2.2.1 forever?

Anyone have any inkling of an AMD 480 aftermarket cooler release date?
Debating on returning my 970 and picking up an aftermarket 480 instead. But it'll only work if it comes out by August.

I was pretty hyped up for ARM for it's RISC architecture and low power usage (I was thinking of making me a meme handheld with my own tiny OS) but then I find out:

My LG 42" Smart LED TV stopped working 6 months ago, after 2.5 years of usage. The LED backlight stopped working. The top and bottom parts light up for like 0.5 second, then go black.
So I tried to repair the TV few days ago, but it's hard to find the LED strip parts. The only one available on eBay is $100+, which isn't worth it. I don't have any electrical or soldering equipment either, so I can't just solder LEDs on. I don't see similar broken TVs up for listing on craigslist/kijiji either.
What do you guys do with a broken TV? Do you just throw it away? Do you sell the individual parts (Tcon, power board, main board, etc.)? What do?
