/g/, I want to get rid of the botnet, of windows 10, I want to feel the freedom for the first time. I was wondering which linux distro should I get, I prefer ricing and software compatibilities. I documented myself and saw that ubuntu, mint or kubuntu may be the best bet. No unstable shit please.

Try it. If all your driver work then go for it. Some software that works on win8 doesn't work on win server though. they check for the OS name prior to installation.
/g/ I'm trying to find a simple Laptop Stand that I can slide a mechanical keyboard and hands under because I don't want to push the laptop to the back of the desk.

Best way to block the systems administrators at the corporation I work for from monitoring me constantly, it's annoying and I use 2 personal laptops on top of my work pc. I believe they are using meraki network edition because he said my pc was infected when I booted my laptop and steam updated and he saw this (google it, from 2012) ReVuln_Steam_Browser_Protocol_Insecurity.pdf. so overall, best ways to block then from seeing anything, they also use other tools and no a vpn does not work. just need ideas.

it boots up with my pc so I don't have to do constant updates. I don't play games hardly at all even. no time. just don't want them running in every 5 minutes asking about some dumb stuff, distracting.

There is no hard drive manufacturer that will sell you a drive that won't fail within a year.
All they can sell you is probabilities. Every manufacturer has about a 3% annual failure rate, so basically you are unlucky.

Get a smaller, but faster and more reliable SSD, you can monitor it's health with CrystalDiskInfo and if still find you don't have enough space you can always hookup an slimlined external harddrive to a USB 3.0 or eSata port(if you motherboard has one), keep your most used programs on your SSD and all the other shit on the External.
I haven't been keeping up with HDD companies rep, so I can't recommend you any brands though.

I have a GTX 690 that has 2x2 ram. Is this enough for 144hz 1080p? This card is a beast but It's limited by the vram.

This is not how VRAM in SLI works
How SLI works is that the data is mirrored, not shared. One card renders one frame, and the other renders the other frame, meaning that your computer's ability to give you a new frame is still limited by the speed of any one card
The 690 is one-card SLI but the same thing applies, it's why there's no 790
