$300 for a device you wear on your head. It is connected to your cell phone so you can manage your mood through out the day.
What will happen when you become dependent on it and the your phone dies? What happens when your phone gets hacked? What the fuck happened to suicide??
This is a horrible attitude towards depression.

What exactly does it do to "manage your mood"?

From my experience and what I have seen, many of these issues are fault of the user. I have wiped and re-installed numerous public releases, beta releases on numerous iDevices and never ran into issue. It also helps to install a fresh iOS via DFU. Although, I understand that some people shouldn't have to result to that and Apple is quick to resolve these problems.

what would you guys use and does it fit you?

ive been using straighttalk for years now. 45 dollars a month for 5gb of data with unlimited talk and text.

however ive been looking into this new provider called republic wireless. 10 bucks for only unlimited talk and text. does anyone have any experience with them to share an opinion with? perhaps theres better alternatives?

They are a Sprint MVNO so all that entitles, garbage service throttled to shit on an already shitty network. You will be provisioned lower than every other MVNO and if there is traffic, you can count on having http connections reset so often that you will strugle to load an image.

On the flip side you will have absolutely no customer service and will be out the cost of the phone because it will be incompatible with every other network.
>>
I just use AT&T because I always have and the service has been reliable across my whole region. The value is shit for what I pay but I'm not interested in finding out what bullshit a new provider will hoist on me.
>>
>>54583704
ive heard about this image sending problem.

is it only limited to text messages? I use instant messenger apps for talking to family and friends. so honestly i wouldnt mind if images dont load within the stock image app.

also i dont really use data at all. im at home 90% of the time and when im not home im at work where all i need is call or text. so the 10 dollar unlimited call and text (0 data) service is still looking appealing to me, since i will just use my wifi at home for data

Honestly though, there really is no need for software monitoring of PSUs. Just make sure to buy a good quality gold/platinum/titanium modular unit from a decent company.

Technology giant Intel announced it will fire 12,000 skilled U.S.-based professionals — after already swelling its workforce with 14,523 requests in Washington D.C. since 2010 for visas to import foreign professionals through the controversial H-1B and Green Card programs.

Amid the layoffs, Intel is one of the nation’s largest users of the H-1B outsourcing program which allows companies such as Disney and Abbot Laboratories to replace white-collar American professionals with cheaper professionals from India, China, and other countries.

For its part, Intel claims that the H-1B visa program is a good thing for the country and, according to Intel spokesperson Lisa Malloy, “sustains our national competitiveness, drives economic growth, and creates jobs in the process.”

So /g/ how do i create packets by hand?
I can use TCP and UDP to transfer data and what not, but how do i manually create, send and receive packets, including filling out all the info like receivers address, senders address, etc. manually?

I use C and debian btw if thats relevant

>>
You could capture a TCP packet in Wireshark and could view it as zeros and ones (that would be pretty much the physical level of how the packet travels on the cable) but i am not sure how could you define it entirely.

One of the problems would be that your network card and/or drivers would try to encapsulate your completed packets again i think which would fuck them up. (i am not sure about this one but it seems plausible)

What i mean is that you define an ethernet-->ip-->tcp-->http packet in software then your networking hardware would encapsulate it again like ethernet-->ip-->ethernet-->ip-->tcp-->http

>So /g/ how do i create packets by hand?
a packet is usually defined with a Struct in C

specifically, one with the packet's data itself at the very end, so it can hang off without affecting alignment.

Implement/copy a packet struct and fill it up with your headers and data.
>>
>>54584271
Can you even go below the level of TCP/UDP packets from software? Wouldn't the IP and ethernet header stuff happen in drivers and/or hardware?

>functional programming

Is it just a meme? I took a course on Haskell and I don't see why anyone would want this. Sure, some highly artificial recursion problems might be possible to write more compactly in Haskell, but in the end it's just eye candy and not very efficient. The alleged "mathematical beauty" vanishes quickly when you realize that you cannot even work with user inputs without having to do weird and unintuitive stuff with monads.

So what is the actual purpose of functional programming paradigm? Is it just a toy or are there any applications where it is to be preferred over imperative languages?

>>
FP is considered "more mathematical" because schools no longer teach much about the origins of algorithms and imperative programming.

Did you know that for loops come from "for i = 1, ..., n" notation used in mathematical algorithms?

Did you know that structured programs are a kind of regular expression?

The average FP shills you see on Hacker News and Reddit know little about math and how it relates to programming.

Pro-FP shills are total morons, to put it lightly. To think they paid (or taxpayers paid) for this "education."
