how big does RAM in your PC have to get to justify using ECC RAM? assuming you give a shit about correctness of your spreadsheets, calculations, etc (not just games)
back in the Commodore 64 days, memory capacity for a home computer was small, so i guess memory errors weren't an issue.
but now? (rough PC numbers)

early 2000's: 1 GB RAM
now: 64 GB RAM <--- should we worry about memory errors?!

I've just been looking around for some keyboard to satisfy all my wants today. There aren't any more datahands for sale that I can find. And the cheap split keyboards have dumb switches. And there aren't buckling spring switches available, although they're supposedly even better than clicky cherries.
I just want to build a split ergonomic keyboard with buckling spring switches :(
