What cellphone plan do you use and why?
>>53897772
Boost Mobile
I live in the city and its cheap
USA
T-mo $30 plan
100 minutes, 5gb data, includes Binge On and Music Freedom
I use Google Voice as my main number and pretty much never go over my minutes, with Binge On and Music Freedom I use 10gb+ data monthly and it only counts about 3 gigs. There is no better deal.
If I ever do go over, I can just pay my bill early and the month cost $60 which is still reasonable for a month of cell service in the US. I've done this maybe once in the past two years
Orange, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 4GB monthly 4G.
Because it's France.

It could have a fucking quad-sli Titan X on it with dual CPU 6700k with aio watercooling at half the cost, and apple would still triumph because of the brand.

I'm not sure if linux and mac os are any different.
I mean, they both come under the same family tree.
Whats your opinion, /g/?
I know what you mean OP, and now that there is GNU/Windows I don't think it matters what OS you run anymore.
Please do a lot of reading.
>>53911093
only /g/ thinks that it does matter what OS you use.
As long as it fits your needs, it's alright.

Implementing logging into a concurrent C++ program: what's a good way to do it?
I have an inline function that just pushes logging text from worker threads into a vector then the main thread empties the vector and prints to IO file when it gets around to it. Its race condition galore. I don't want to lock the vector because then my worker threads handling critical tasks will get slowed down by a dumb log line.
Not sure what private trackers are all about?

Is tomato girl anime any good? Is it worth joining AB for?
Who here /TEAMTARS/?
Hello /g/ents. I think I'd like to pursue a career as a game technician, ie arcade games, slot machines and such. I've never done any technical schooling or college and I just have a GED, but I have a lot of hands on knowledge of PC's. I've always wanted to tinker in arcade games ever since my first job at a kid's arcade years ago. Currently work in a casino so I figure it's a way to move up. Any advice on what kind of classes I should get into like CET or basic electronic engineering? Pic semi related I guess.
>>53905603
Get your CDL and drive a truck. It's in high demand and can pay very well when you work overtime. You'll never find a job as an arcade mechanic.
>>53905706
I live in a town that has 9 or 10 casinos. Slot tech is possible. And there's a resort opening up soon that will have hundreds of arcade games. Though I appreciate your salty advice regardless.

How about you not pay the fucking minimum balance for 23 years you fucking shithead. 23 grand of debt for what? Did you get your secretary license and make minimum wage anyways? 26k for a stem field is like 4 years of fucking debt dude. Who the fuck takes 23 years to pay 26-32k. That's a little over a grand a year.

Arch is for people who don't have anything else to do, and want to make something for themselves to do. So they use an all-manual distro that they constantly have to tweak and repair and maintain

How do I install region-locked apps on android? I have tried different region changing and market unlocker apps but google play still keeps telling me that the app isn't available for my country
This is now a thing. Floppy drives are making a comeback.
http://www.pcworld.com/article/3038787/computers/sd-card-hack-breathes-new-life-into-this-old-floppy-drive.html
if those things really existed even just for a novelty (not just some guy making it himself) i would buy one.
but ONLY if it made the sound of a floppy, and ONLY if you had a 50% chance of corrupting the data just like a floppy
>>53900087
It's an SD card reader. He soldered an SD card reader to the contact pins of a floppy. It's still an SD card reader.
No floppy comeback.

Why are there Exynos and Snapdragon variants? Wouldn't it be easier for Samsung to stick with their own shit?
And which is better?
Moto G (2015) or the original Moto G?
About a month back my dad went and bought me a Zenphone 2 as a gift to replace my old flip phone I been using overseas.
It's been really good to me so far but I just wish they didn't have to slap on all the extra third party apps, it's like buying an HP laptop and getting all the bullshit tacked on. Dunno if I should root yet, since it seems like a rather small gripe, and have no other real issues, save for ads.

Welcome to /fg/lt/, or as I've recently taken to calling it, /fg+lt/. We are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:
0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux
Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.
Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.

How do I install GTK themes on Debian?
Do I just go to Appearance? I can't find anything else and it's not sounding like how other people are describing it from googling.

>How do I install GTK themes on Debian?
You've been told at least 3 times already.
Edit the gtkrc files in your home. Or use lxappearance.
For future reference, "not how other people describe it" is fuck all information for us, we don't know "other people" have told you or what you are actually doing.
