What cheap CHINESE tech have you bought, and would you recommend it?
Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on eBay, AliExpress, Gearbest and similar sites.

Have $25 burgers in store credit on DX, what should I buy?
It's really amazing to see the difference in shipping time between different stores on Aliexpress.
I got one thing from back in mid february that still hasn't arrived, while things I ordered mid march arrived recently.
Rank burger carriers from best to worst in your area.

Same except Sprint is probably last. Or between Boost and Cricket at best. And I live in Kansas City, like two miles away from Sprint HQ. They are probably the worst mobile company out there. You can't even get Sprint service on the Sprint campus.

Makes JS the fastest interpreted language by a long shot.
Bridges the gap between front-end and backend developers.
Consistent code between front-end and backend, also reusable.
People who hate JS typically have very little experience with it and can't get around its duck typing, prototypal inheritance, callbacks, and other functional aspects like first first class functions. They also get really confused with closures.
I'm guessing it's because they come from a language like Java and C++ and they see the familiar syntax but soon realize it takes more than 5 minutes to learn despite other similar people telling them it's a shallow language.

Welcome to /fg/lt/, or as I've recently taken to calling it, /fg+lt/. We are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:
0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux
Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.
Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.
IRC connection details:
Server: chat.freenode.net:6667 (no SSL, 6697 for SSL)
Channel: #flt
If you don't have an IRC client (which you should), go to https://webchat.freenode.net/ to join the webchat.
Do not tick "auth to services" (as you probably don't have a freenode account), choose a nickname, and type "#flt" as the channel.
Google captcha, click "connect", all that.

Yo.
So a lot of people here compare SSD brands, the 850 EVO is supposed to be the best and unkown SSDs are supposed to be the worst, etc.
But what makes a SSD better than another SSD? What kind of problems can a bad SSD have that a good one doesn't have?
And are there still actual reliability issues with SSDs released in 2016?
I'm asking this because I'm looking to upgrade my laptops and my parents desktops with SSDs, most probably from Kingston V300. Are there known issues with Kingston V300 or is the whole SSD model 1 vs model 2 debate about almost nothing?
I'd like to add I already have a SSD in my laptop for over a year now, Samsung EVO 840 which was supposed to be a very bad one yet I haven't found a flaw yet.
>he fell for the SSD meme
yes I'm stupid like that
the 850 evo is total shit, it uses TLC nand, and anyone who suggests buying this should kill themselves
if you want something as cheap as possible, get the hyperx fury
something better is the ocz arc 100
then if you want the best sata ssd you get the 850 pro
if you want the best non-sata ssd, get pcie ones, not the retarded overheating m2 ones
>>53916576
would any of this actually matter if I just think about installing a SSD in the desktop of my parents to make it go fastur?
>>53916592
just get them the hyperx fury
