Dispense with the front cam, include a keyboard instead.

>Dispense with the front cam
wtf?
The front cam is the important one so you can video call or facetime or whatever

the back camera on tablets is what is completely useless
>>
That guy from pawn stars uses his iPad camera to verify signatures. So you are wrong.
>>
I guess I meant the back camera then, the more powerful one that you'll never take photos with because the tablet isn't the correct form factor for photos. Really wish they'd just improve the front camera and include a keyboard, case or pencil instead.

At least do something interesting like wider spaced twin lenses for 3D maping or similar uses. A phone camera on a great big tablet is just too goofy and doesn't get used.

Drop the feature or have it build on the strengths of the tablet in some way.

Hey /g/ help me build a gaming PC.
BUT WAIT!
This PC is just for playing one game. Dwarf Fortress.

Dwarf Fort only uses a single core and famously bottlenecks.
What CPU has the most processing power for a single core?

I'm really tempted to pull the NSA trigger. should i give into the upgrade before its too late? I found out win8 won't support DX12, and i don't have anything illegal to hide, but it's a matter of principle (especially with how disgustingly forceful they're making the """upgrade"""), and im worried about 10's ability to be compatible with older shit, as well as its ability to disable any pirated content.

on top of that, can i get some pros/cons that have to do with the last 2 points along with anything related?

It's sad how faggots try so hard to "belong" here. Try having an original thought for once in your life.
>>
Are you doing dx12 for the performance gains? Most games lose performance on the switch to 10. Only the newest games benefit and even then not much. Still, imagine forced updates restarting your computer during a match because you can't turn that shit off in 10.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Hey guys, let's have a home server general.

I was wondering - what is the benefit of an old Xeon processor over a newer low end CPU like the celeron in this?

According to CPU boss the celeron outperforms the xeon. Does that mean it is straight up better?

Don't.

Depending on the server use the CPU might be pretty much irrelevant or of prime importance. "Server" doesn't really say anything.

I hope ad blocking gets worse for advertisers . I just love watching then squirm at the fact that I now have the option to not see their trash .

I will blacklist those who block ad blockers . Then I'll find the same information somewhere else . I ALONE decide which websites I whitelist and the ones I whitelist are small websites that provide services that I find usefull.

>We need ad revenue to survive

Then close down your massive fucking website and give up your spot as top dog . I'm calling your bluff, get absolutely fucked .

Hey /g/, I was recently thinking about creating my own custom water cooling loop for my computer but I wasn't sure what exactly I needed or which brands are best. I've been doing some research but I figured I would ask /g/ for some advice. I currently have a Corsair 650D case along with an i7-3770k and a GTX 680 that I would like to connect to the loop. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

your parts are really old, dude. are you expecting performance increases or are you just doing it for a neat project?
>>
>>55580904

Not that either is bad per se OP but both your CPU and graphics card are getting a little long in the tooth. I'd think of primary upgrades before putting in a custom loop
