Not really, unless you've fucked up the cable management.
>>
Can you just cut cables off a power supply if you don't need them? I can confidently say I will never use a molex connector, yet my PSU has four of them that I have to shove down the side of the case.

Quick question:
I use an old laptop for downloading. Whenever I connect an external HDD via USB when I want to transfer files it sometimes shows an error 'This device can perform faster'. I'm pretty sure this is an error since it only happens occasionally and works fine most of the time. Then a message pops up saying I need to format said HDD before using it. I've been using the HDD for a while already and it's still fairly new, 10 months old and I don't want to damage it. I always unplug it when this happens since I don't want to format the drive since it's already working and I'm pretty sure the USB port is the problem.

My question is since my laptop doesn't have the 'safely remove hardware' when this happens and I unplug the HDD is there a chance that it will break or corrupt it? How do I safely remove it when this happens?

is T-mobile the most meme phone company?

>Bellevue, Washington — July 14, 2016 — T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) today announced that, with next week’s T-Mobile Tuesday, the Un-carrier is thanking its customers with free, unlimited data for Pokémon Go—the new sensation that’s taking the world by storm. On July 19th, as part of next week’s T-Mobile Tuesdays, the Un-carrier will give customers great ways to take their Pokémon Go skillz to a whole new level, including …

Why are you complaining?

In Canada, Bell and Rogers would lower your cap to drive you over as a punishment for not spending your time watching TV through their cable subscriptions.
>>
>>55576943
Isn't this a blatant violation of net neutrality?

They're punishing you for using non-partner services by making them count toward your data cap.

Meanwhile, netflix and Pokemon go are UNLIMITED!!!

Windows XP: what are the odds that my pirated iSO is full of rootkits?

I need to install XP on a computer to run some legacy software to control some antique hardware. It's complicated and not really interesting.

I'm looking for a good iso, but not sure where to look. I stopped being a horrible little skiddie back in 2004 and went and got a real job. But if I were still up to my old tricks, instead of putting Net-Devil and Poison Ivy in a "diablo gold generator" I'd put a quality rootkit in a nice pirated copy of an OS and seed it on TPB, with a bunch of good reviews bought and a VIP status. And then I'd steal people's details left and right.

Now, I'm not going to be using this ancient system for much online, but I still don't want some douchebag in russia to be able to see what I'm doing.

Should I go with an older iso and figure that by then, the command and control methods for anything in it are invalidated? (I had to jump ircds for drone control every few months, and there were always a bunch of drones who missed the update. i cry everytiem)

Or should I go with a newer one that could have updated malware in it?

>Not even that quiet
They are quiet. How quiet they are depends on what model you get and whether you use the ULN adapters. There's a noise/air flow trade off just like with every other fan out there.

So do you want me to buy Phantek-branded fans so you feel less lonely or something?

Why do kids in America and other western countries bully kids for using old but functional technology?
34 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>55575534
Because kids in middle school up till mid high school are absolute bastards. There is a reason why kids don't get diagnosed for being a psychopath or sociopath till they become adults because they're naturally that self centered and hate anyone who is slightly different from them.

Kids don't need good reasons to bully

m-muh async compute!

>Today, Futuremark released its new Time Spy benchmark for the 3DMark suite, which is loaded with DirectX 12 features to put graphics cards to the next-gen test.

>Time Spy isn’t Futuremark’s first DirectX 12 benchmark; that honor goes to the API Overhead Feature Test released in March 2015. But the Overhead Feature Test merely measured draw call performance in DirectX 11 versus DirectX 12 (or the now-defunct Mantle). Time Spy is a full-blown benchmark composed of several subtests that factor into an overall combined score. It’s the DX12 equivalent of Fire Strike, basically.

>And it lets you test with asynchronous compute both enabled and disabled, which leads to some interesting insights. More on those in a bit.

>Better yet: Time Spy’s coming to all versions of 3DMark, including the Basic Edition that’s free for personal, noncommercial use. (You can download it on Futuremark’s site or by clicking the Download demo button on 3DMark’s Steam page.) Time to start your engines, folks—at least if you have Windows 10.

>The paid-for Advanced Edition of 3DMark (which offers additional features and benchmarks) is rising in price from $25 to $30 thanks to Time Spy’s inclusion, however. If you already own 3DMark Advanced Edition, you can purchase Time Spy separately for $10. But if you buy before July 23 you’ll be able to upgrade for $5 or buy the complete Advanced Edition for $10.
