I wanna buy meme cables but i'm unsure if I shoudl go for a full set or an extension set. I'm using a Seagate power supply btw.
I have heard somewhere that extension cables can be bad because the PSU couldn't give enough power but i'm unsure if this is a hoax or if there is some kind of truth in it. However the full replacement cable kits are like twice as expensive. But with extension cables you got like half a meter of useless cables that you need to manage in the back. And extensions can be used with a different PSU but the replacements need to be used for the same brand PSU.
So yeah, which meme cables should I get? Complete replacement kit or the extensions? Which one do you use?

Depends on the case to be honest. If you have a ton of room in the back of your case to hide your cables, then the extensions are much cheaper solution than a full set.
However, if you have a tempered glass case panel even on the back where your cabling will be exposed, or if you have no room for cable management for excess wires, then you'll have to get a full set as well.

Ethical hacking is a buzzword made by corpies and script kiddies who want to "hax" and make money out of it without risking jail.
There is such a thing as pentesting, which has it's own name: pentesting.
And for the rest, the security community actually do what you would call 'ethical hacking' but they don't go about calling it that. They just try and improve security through bug hunting, auditing, and so on.
The difference is that the ones who say "ethical hacking" are wanabees, and the others just do it.

OP here. Say you weren't relying on a tool someone else has already made and an old lady forgot her Windows login but wants access to it; wouldn't legit hacking knowledge to access her Windows account be ethical; therefore knowing a bit about hacking be useful in many circumstances?

What's the best low cost HTPC option /g/ (around 200-ish)? I want it to:

So I fucking hated Windows 8 and after trying it on a friends computer when it was released. I heard windows 10 is better but it just looks like the same shit.

Upgrade to windows 10, fiddle around with it, try skinning it to 7 with classic shell. Use built in downgrade option to restore windows 7 exactly the way it was within 30 days. Have permanent, keyless entitlement to Win10 in case you ever need DX12 or something. No more worries about 1 year free upgrade ending. Bam

Sure it is. In just under a month from today, windows 10 will be $119. Mind you plenty of people are happy about this, because microsoft has pledged to make the update notifications finally shut up, but if there's any chance you will want or need 10 in the future, it's worth upgrading for a few minutes now and then reverting back to claim the permaliscense

C teaches you program logic and memory management.
Python lets you feel like a programmer by gluing together other people's libraries and functions.
If you're persistent, you'll also learn how to write "one-liners", which are autistic concatenations of higher order python functions that exist only to stroke the writer's ego.
