New to /ptg/? Have an inquiry? Consult the wiki before asking redundant questions
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Private_trackers
https://a.pomf.cat/mngqff.pdf (HDB's thread from PTP was recently pulled)
Or update it yourself faggots if you have a problem with it. Then check Google. If you can't find an adequate answer, ask here.
What.CD interview info: https://opentrackers.org/whatinterviewprep.com/ and the wiki
Various HTTP/FPT servers with content:
https://ghostbin.com/paste/vngar
Use >>>/g/ptg as a link to find the /ptg/ thread.
Remember the following:
>OP is to lazy to edit the old paste
>tracker staff are known to browse and post in these threads - think twice before offering to trade, buy or sell invites and accounts here
>the same goes for publicly offering or accepting invites - even if staffers aren't watching, an anon may still report you
>around 95% of posters here chat shit - don't make any claims about sites based on "something you read here once" (this especially applies if a poster has a name/trip attached)
First for let this die.
Scenario: Normie friend is meeting you after a while and wants many movies and TV shows in his new 2tb usb hdd. I don't have too many movies stored so I need to get that shit again. He will watch only on his laptop so I am thinking I will only get BDRips and BRRips. My questions is how would you all go about doing this in the best way?
Currently I am using IPT and it's going quite fine. Not going to waste my buffer from other sites. Would you use any public trackers like rarbg? Or would you consider rutracker at all? Or is IPT probably the most optimal choice?
Thanks (yes, I am autistic)

Why would you want hot air blowing into your case?
Thinking about getting one of these but I'm still unsure

>SoC can easily be removed
>5 hours of claimed battery life
>USB Type A port to attach storage/peripherals
>Wifi and Bluetooth integrated
>4gb of internal storage
>512 MB ram
However, what bugs me are the following
>Keyboard looks difficult to use
>No (micro)SD card slot
>usage of RGB over mini/micro HDMI
>Display is only 480*272

I ran it daily a few years ago, and it was fun and easy to use. it has modern tools to make your use even more simple and enjoyable now, but the basic install is lacking them.
Right now it is one of the few working distros that don't utilize the virus systemd.
At the very least it is worth trying.

Asking "Hey guys, what's your opinion on x?" is frowned upon.
Wireless is frowned upon.
Headset requests are frowned upon.
Isolation ≠ Noise cancellation
If you dislike a headphone suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, brand x sucks"

tl;dr I'm looking to get a pair of headphones similar to my heavily used Ath-m50's that provide better comfort and would be somewhat of an upgrade.
I'm currently looking at the Beyerdynamic DT-770 and Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro. But I've been out of the loop for a long time.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", lightweight
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.
