I know there's gotta be someone on /g/ with their phone in one of these things.

Do they function as faraday cages?
>>
If someone is that concerned about privacy, they shouldn't own a phone at all, let alone a smartphone.

It's like not owning a car to be eco-friendly but you still heat your house with coal

>>54800669
Yes
>>
>>54800695
This.

If you're that stupid and paranoid in the first place, you wouldn't even own a phone.

Hey /g/, Is liquid cooling worth it?

I'm planning on building a new PC with a GTX 1080 and an i7 (I know, I know) and was wondering if I could get away with just an aftermarket fan setup. Plus I don't want my nice new PC to get leaks on it,
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Not really, better just getting some quite fans from Noctua.

Unless you are into overclocking, then go ahead with water cooling.
>>
>>54799657
Only do it if you are looking for an expensive hobby or you really like the look of it. Otherwise just get a solid air cooler.
>>
No.

The 1080 and whatever i7 you're getting already run fairly cool, so there isn't any reason to add liquid cooling unless you're tying to pull off some super s1ck overclock, which I doubt you are.

And I also doubt you need an i7 processor or a 1080. But you spend your money where you want.

Why does it take so long to install?
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>54799609
Because you're using netinstall
>>
>>54799609
download all the isos and not just the first bootable if your connection is aids

Using only the first iso is basicly a netinstall depedning on what packages / de you use.

I'm posting across 3 boards with this, I understand if this might not be the right place but I'm at the end of my rope.
I need to do a batch comparison of images and delete all but the highest definition/quality versions.
Every search I do yields either horribly out of date results and obsolete software and/or horrible reviews.
I have approximately 10k images I need to be able to compare to find duplicates, whether a different resolution or orientation.

You won't find such software. At least not one that does a propper job.
>>
>>54799418
how about one that just searchs for duplicates?
>>
>>54799465
I need to single out lower resolution versions, but also instances where several shots were taken in near identical angle and choose 1 of them to keep

A great way to teach assembly to children and teenagers.
>>
>>54799261
glad to hear that.

How closely does it resemble assembly? What are the main similarities and the main differences?
>>
>>54799327
It's basically some RISC variant with changed up names.

DDoS

Search for open ports and use them to exploit vulnerabilities in your other devices or up/download data to/from your machine

Pretty much it really. Obviously more can be done but you'll never meet anyone who does it, everybody just DDoS's or uploads malware. Your IP address is just like your phone number, it's only as powerful as the person who has it.

The worst thing you'll ever probably experience is someone using your IP and lax security to turn your computer into a drone and sell it to somebody to add to their botnet or some asshole DDoS'ing you because you called in a nigger in GTA V.
