Now I find out that my 7700K is throttling because of incorrect readings, and the same thing has happened across two different motherboard brands.
Stop defending them, they're a shit company. I'd rather pay the Intel/nVidia premium and actually have hardware that works, than play the AMD crap-shoot.

Actually, it's throttling to stay within it's power budget. If you disable the integrated graphics you'll probably get better CPU performance without too much of a hit on the GPU side. Then again, these issues were well known very soon after launch and hybrid crossfire was never worth it. You would have been better served by an athlon and a slightly better GPU but it sounds like you completely neglected to do any research at all.
I'm afraid you can't blame AMD for your own stupidity anon.
