What's a cheap, good, keychain USB greater than 32GB? I'm looking at alot of these kingstons and they seem pretty good but I really don't have a definitive. Anyone have any suggestions?
>>51916775
>greater than 32GB?
Get the 64GB version.
>>51916775
As small as that I dont think they offer greater than 32. The data traveller (the ones that are color sized) is a bit bigger and goes up to 128GB if i recall correctly
can't go wrong with these op.
get the DTSE9 G2.

Why doesn't AMD just solder on 512-1024MB of HBM on APUs? Currently all the 28nm A10 APUs out there are fucking dogshit because of how massively bandwidth starved they are.
Is HBM that fucking expensive?
If AMD made an APU with 640 gnc cores and 1024MB of 128GB/s of HBM, it would be fucking perfect for entry 1080p vydia gaems. They could do this for the desktop excavator APUs they're suppose to release in 2016.
Are they scared such a batshit powerful chip would cannibalize their R7 GPU sales or something?
>>51916700
because Ahmed is not working for them
>>51916700
Yes it is that expensive, you need an extra 90nm interposer die and the memory stacks are not easy to put together. We might still see something like that but I doubt it will happen before it's in all the GPUs.
>>51916700
Honestly I don't think it is that simple. To just solder HBM to the die and call it a day. Would require a complete architecture change.
That said, amd doesnt even need to go that far. Current Godvari chips are actually very good when paired with ddr3 2400mhz. At 1080p they easily keep up with games like Leage, cs:go, etc. But as you said they're bandwidth starved. All amd should do is release godvari with ddr4 capabilities. Ddr4 3200mhz kits arent super expensive anymore and I've personally...

I've been using Arch for a while now, and as much as I feel I've learned from the experience, I feel I'm coming up against a wall again. I've mastered basic system configuration, and I've been able to create some of my own simple solutions to problems unique to my setup. But I still feel like I'm not truly intimate with the Unix toolbox. The only game I really care about playing is Dwarf Fortress.
So, to get to the point, is OpenBSD a good option for a personal computer? I am attracted by the claims...

no, bsd isn't really geared towards home computing use

I don't mean to sound like I'm not taking solicited advice, but can you say some things more specifically why?
>>51916546
It's good, but check if your hardware is compatible. OpenBSD is completely blob-free so compatibility will never be as good as Linux.
Hi /g/
It's nearly Christmas, and my family is pissed that I haven't asked for anything other than a pair of pants.
So my question is, what sort of tech related thing would you ask for that is less than maybe $200?

Sure. Why not?
But one little caveat. If you have/plan to use an iOS 9 device, it requires iTunes 12, which doesn't run on Snow Leopard ... or you can maintain it via iCloud, you just won't be able to sync it with a (Snow Leopard) Mac.
And a weird twist, if you do the iOS8 to 9 update over the air (via the device,) it'll still sync to iTunes11. Or at least my old iPad3 did. If you do the update via iTunes, it'll no longer sync.
