I for one think it is shameful that certain English words (words similar to family, etc.) are auto-replaced here on 4chan with foreign words. This board is an English language board and, when one counts second languages, English is the language spoken by more people on the planet than any other.
Are you tired of seeing baka, desu and senpai all the time? I know I am!
So we need to fix this. What about a program to encode text into some form that the word-filter cannot see? Problem: one would think that the owner of 4chan would then implement code to...

Gentlemen, I present baka code.
There are three foreign words that the software replaces your well-crafted English words with. If I add to this one more word, one that is too common (at least in 4chan) to be replaced, then I have four words. Four possible words means that one word can represent one of four values. In other words, one word is two bits of information. So if one then uses four words in sequence, one can encode a byte (8 bits).
For the additional word, I chose a word frequently used on 4chan, "based."
That is baka code....

Always install a CLEAN copy of Windows if you have to install Windows. Always.
Also, use a corporate version, NEVER a "home" edition.
I don't normally like to post opinions, especially negative ones, on the front page. In this case, I can't resist, as this bastardization of Windows makes me quite angry. Having used every version of Microsoft's operating systems since 1988 (MS-DOS 5.0), this is the first time I truly believe that Microsoft has lost its way. To put it bluntly, Windows 10 is a mish-mash of interfaces, and in some cases borderline deceptive options, mainly to serve Microsoft's dubious ambitions in the mobile device arena, rather than consumers and businesses. It will only serve...

Can the IT department of a company tell if you tried to access a website that was automatically blocked and marked as "pornography"?
Do they get a notifixation?
Asking for... A friend... He was using a mobile phone and was on wireless.
Would they be able to track it to a single wireless user?
I.. I mean.. He was trying to browse /int
>>53489508
Probably yes. Why does it matter though. Was it
something not normal?
>could they tell if you accessed a certain website?
if they wanted to
>Do people usually get caught for this stuff?
not unless you are actually seen
>>53489522
It was the direct link..
Like 4chan.org/int/catalog
Then I saw the warning that it was banned and closed everything on my phone. Turned off wireless and put it as "forgwt" in my phone
>>53489545
So they won't be able to say hey .. This guy used his phone to try to access "porn" etc etc.. ? Could they see which websites/apps I've been on to get my name?
What's the easiest programming language for a complete beginner?
ruby
>>53489521
this, python or JS.
>>53489499
>easiest
Don't learn the easiest. Learn the language that'll teach you the most about core programming concepts.
That language is C.
I am new to linux and have been using Ubuntu 14.04 for the past few weeks. Should I stick with this or try to install another distro?
>>53489273
Been using Debian for 2 years and used Arch for a year before that and Ubuntu for 2 years before that. Switched back to Ubuntu 14.04, Unity and all, Last month. No regrets.
>>53489273
Stay on it. Run other Linux systems in virtual machines to see if you like them, but you shouldn't feel compelled to switch just to prove something
>>53489273
Ubuntu is easy to use, so stick with it until you're comfortable with linux.
You can try installing other distro in VM and fuck with them to test them out without nuking you're computer
There are 2 kinds of people. Ones who believe in numbers and others who believe in newer tech. But in the end it all comes down to fps count.
So which one is better for 3d graphics?
install gnu+linux
>>53489042
please no, NO! Not those faggots!
Any recent regretful purchases, /g/?
Pic related. I haven't even received it yet, but now all I'm thinking about is the botnet... and how insanely impractical it is to put Linux on one of these.
Chuwi Hi8
Bought it just before the Hi8 Pro came out and on top of that 1920x1200 is just a bad resolution for an 8" Windows tablet
>and how insanely impractical it is to put Linux on one of these.
Moron detected. If you knew any programming (and I know you don't) then you could just modify the code and write your own drivers so it works flawlessly on your tablet.
>>53488939
Because everyone on /g/ is a neet just like you, anon.
Why do people install Arch, then slap Gnome on top?
Doesn't that defeat having a minimal distro?
Is there a 'stripped down' gnome that doesn't install all the shit as well?
>>53488439
MATE
>>53488439
Most people who use arch don't really want "minimal." I just use it because of pacman, the aur, and because it's flexible as hell.
>>53488486
Why a DE at all? Can one not just get the gnome WM, taskbar and shit, but not all the faggy other shit like calculator, webcam app etc
>>53488523
I totally get that, but I quite like gnome 3, just don't like having to *un*install everything I don't want after installing gnome

Just as bad as wearing a shirt with a logo on it.
hey /g should i get a used moto x pure or a used note 4 for about the same price?
Motorola easy choice
>>53487369
any reasons except for the fact that the note 4 is made by samsung?
just get the g4, it's superior
Yet another well known non vocal minority person who hates the auto windows 10 upgrade, and I can promise you nothing will change about Windows also he explains why windows 10 is a virus itself, which is great to hear we aren't the only ones who see it.

he just needs to install GWX and be done with it

How is it that KDE 1 looks better than new KDE?
>>53486807
KDE 1 to 3 were developed by professionals
Looks okay. Back then it was designed to imitate windows 95 which wasn't really that bad looking either. The current DEs are designed to imitate OSX 10.10+ and Windows 8/10 which look like ass
Some times things end up looking pretty good when you try and make them functional first and foremost.
